Achievement is a system introduced in The Sims 3 and later reintroduced in The Sims 4.

The Sims 3 has an achievement feature available to users who have logged into TheSims3.com in-game, and are awarded and stored on their user profile. Badges can be earned by completing an achievement; progress is tracked offline, but the player must have an Internet connection for achievements and badges to be awarded. Achievements are visible to other friends online.

Trivia

• As of Patch 31, the players were able to acess the achievments in-game.
• Since the update for Showtime introduced new online features, it was the first expansion pack to offer achievements. Every expansion pack released after Showtime (except for Into the Future) offered new achievements as well.
• On the website, some Base Game achievements such as "Crime Never Pays" show as concluded, i.e. the players cannot unlock them anymore. However, several players report these achievements are still unlockable.
• The Sims 3 Website has a category for "World Adventures" achievements. However, the category appears empty since World Adventures does not offer any achievements.
• Island Paradise has the least achievements, with only 13.
