List of neighborhood cheats

This is a list of neighborhood cheats that affect the neighborhood as a whole, or affect individual lots in the neighborhood.

The Sims 2: University

• changeLotZoning [residential | community | greek | dorm | secretsocietylot]

This changes the zoning type of the lot. Before rezoning a lot using this cheat, make sure there are no Sims currently living in the lot. To use this cheat, enter the lot that you would like to rezone, and then enter the cheat, choosing one of these zoning options.

Important

Changing a lot to a secret society lot will cause it to disappear from the neighborhood view. To load the lot again, you'll need to start your game in debug mode and use the loadLot cheat.

The Sims 2: Nightlife

• familyFunds [familyname] [amount]

Change family's current money.

The Sims 2: Bon Voyage

• changeLotZoning [residential | community | hotel | secretvacationlot]

This changes the zoning type of the lot. Before rezoning a lot using this cheat, make sure there are no Sims currently living in the lot. To use this cheat, enter the lot that you would like to rezone, and then enter the cheat, choosing one of these zoning options.
Note that although the cheat to change lot zoning into secret vacation lot exists, you must do the proper way to turn it. Otherwise, it won't work or corrupt the game. The method to make a Secret Vacation Lot can be found here^{[dead link]} .

• changeNeighborhoodType [primary/university/downtown/suburb/asia/mountains/tropics]

Changes the type of the neighborhood or subhood. The game must be booted in debug mode — add the line "boolProp testingcheatsenabled true" to a Userstartup.cheat file.

The Sims 2: FreeTime

• modifyNeighborhoodTerrain [on/off]

This allows you to alter the neighborhood terrain by raising or lowering it. To use this cheat, be in the neighborhood view, then enter the cheat "modifyNeighborhoodTerrain on" (without the quotation marks), and click over the area you would like to change. To select a larger area, click and drag the cursor to highlight the desired area. Press [ or ] to raise or lower the terrain by one click, press \ to level the terrain, and press P to flatten terrain. When you're finished, type “modifyNeighborhoodTerrain off” in the cheat box (again, without the quotations).

• changeLotZoning [residential | community | secrethobbylot]

This changes the zoning type of the lot. Before rezoning a lot using this cheat, make sure there are no Sims currently living in the lot. To use this cheat, enter the lot that you would like to rezone, and then enter the cheat, choosing one of these zoning options.
Note that although the cheat to change lot zoning into secret hobby lot exists, you must do the proper way to turn it. Otherwise, it won't work or corrupt the game. The method to make a Secret Hobby Lot is discussed here.

The Sims 2: Apartment Life

• changeLotZoning [residential | community | apartmentbase]

This changes the zoning type of the lot. Before rezoning a lot using this cheat, make sure there are no Sims currently living in the lot. To use this cheat, enter the lot that you would like to rezone, and then enter the cheat, choosing one of these zoning options.
Note that zoning a beach lot into an apartment lot will severely corrupt the ocean and lot terrain and is strongly not recommended.

• printLotClass

This prints the lot's class (low, middle, or high) as well as the corresponding numerical lot class value.

• changeLotClassification [low | middle | high]

This changes the lot classification of the lot. The lot will remain this classification until the following cheat is used.

• clearLotClassValue

This clears any "changeLotClassification" cheat used on the lot and sets the lot class to the correct calculated value.
