Coach Grinder is a pre-made playable adult Sim from Garden Heights, one of the neighborhoods shipped with The Sims Pet Stories. He is a Dog Trainer and owns a dog named Meat Grinder. In the Best in Show story, Coach and Meat compete in the SimCity Dog Show together against Alice Whitt and her dog Sam. He first appears in the story at Playground for Precious, where Alice arrives with her dog Sam to registrate for the dog show. When Alice comes to chat with Coach, he refuses to offer any advice to her.

He appears at The Show Park where the dog show qualifications for the SimCity final take place. Coach and Meat Grinder are participating first, right when Alice arrives. Melissa Carter and her dog Bruno are up next, followed by Alice and Sam and Diana DeBore and Precious. After everyone finished, Meat and Bruno get into a fight, which caused both of them to be disqualified from the dog show. As a result, Alice and Sam go through to the finals at Bartholomew Greens.

Coach and Meat can be found residing at 1364 Dargail Lane and become playable from there after the story is finished.

Coach has the Popularity aspiration and the Scorpio zodiac sign. As far as personality goes, Coach is extremely neat, and very outgoing and active. But also extremely serious and grouchy. He has no skill points. His main interests are Travel, Culture, and Paranormal. According to his biography, he was a former member of the military, but he has no memories about this career. He also misses a memory of obtaining Meat.
