Diane Smith is one of the pre-made child townies who resides in Belladonna Cove, the neighborhood shipped with The Sims 2: Apartment Life. She can be made playable by befriending and aging her up with another child^[TS2FT], and sending her off to college ^[TS2U]. Diane's relationships with other townies are usually randomized at the start of the game. As far as personality, she is very outgoing, somewhat active, and a little bit neat. But she is quite serious and grouchy. Diane has medium-length black hair, light blue eyes, and tan skin. She wears a green shirt and a green skirt.

Diane's interests are randomized at the start of the game. It is only referenced in the game files that she has no interests. The game files also reveal that she starts off with no School enrollment or school grade. When Diane is first spawned in-game, she will be a C student enrolled in public school. She has the same shirt and hairstyle as Bottom Summerdream, and the same facial structure as Melissa Fancey.
