Donovan Riley is one of the pre-made deceased ancestral Sims who resided during his lifetime in Belladonna Cove, the neighborhood shipped with The Sims 2: Apartment Life. He was the husband of Aurelai Riley, the father of Seamus Riley, the grandfather of Timothy Riley, and the great-grandfather of Sally Riley. Donovan is completely resurrectable, even though he doesn't have a grave. He has the Popularity aspiration, and the Scorpio zodiac sign. As far as personality, Donovan is very active, somewhat neat, and a little bit outgoing. But he is quite serious and grouchy.

According to Donovan's SimDNA in SimPE, his hair was red before it turned grey. According to his age data, he had 16 days left in the elder life stage when he died. Donovan's facial structure is almost if not identical to the 16th Maxis face template in Create a Sim. Unlike several other married ancestors from Apartment Life who have memories of their spouses, he only has Mystery Sim memories. However Donovan still has the memory of Seamus' birth.
