The SIM series Drafting Table is a drafting table featured in The Sims 2: FreeTime. It is a career reward Sims receive when they reach level 6 of Architecture career. Sims can sketch a blueprint, still life, or custom picture. The drafting table works similarly to easel. It increases Sim's Creativity skill and Arts and Crafts enthusiasm.

Only teens and older can use the drafting table.

The Drafting Table by Scuzzmarr Industries is a drafting table featured in The Sims 3: Ambitions. Like easel, the drafting table is used to increase Sim's Painting skill. Sims can practice painting, research new fashion concepts, and research architectural design.

Practicing painting is the basic interaction for Sims to practice the Painting skill. Researching new fashion concepts and architectural design is beneficial for Stylist and Architectural Designer professions, respectively. Both interactions will increase the Painting skill and job experience of respective profession. Researching new fashion concepts will also increase Sim's Styling secret skill, provided they work in Stylist profession. Both the profession-based interactions have slightly lower Painting skill gain rate than the basic practice painting, so they're not very optimal if Sims don't work in either profession.

The drafting table looks very similar to the one from The Sims 2: FreeTime. The difference is that the drafting table in The Sims 3: Ambitions has a separate stool, so players have to buy both a stool and the table for Sims to sketch. While the drafting table can use any barstool, it has a matching stool in the barstool section of Buy mode. Also, unlike the drafting table in FreeTime, Sims cannot sketch a custom picture. This is because The Sims 3 does not include the ability to draw custom paintings that was present in The Sims 2.
