Aengus McDarlowe was born in 1956 to Marg and William McDarlowe. Aengus' family were very old-school and laid back, he was raised in a very modern community. Marg and William were proud of their child as he showed a lot of talent in the performing art genre.
Aengus met Petula Priory, a young girl in the year above his own. The two began seeing each other in 1975, where Aengus knew he was in love. In 1980, the two moved in together, and in 1983, Aengus proposed. Petula accepted. In 1984, Petula and Aengus were married.
4 years into the McDarlowe's marriage, Petula was diagnosed with a chaotic terminal illness. On her deathbed, she told Aengus not to mope about her for too long, and to move on immediately. Petula died in her sleep. Aengus was distraught, but stuck true to his word and did not remain alone.
At Cindy and James' wedding, Aengus revealed his wife, Petula, had died in 1988. Aengus was attracted to Millie, as was she. The two started dating at their old age. They decided not to re-marry, but to live together instead.
