Aiyana Curious (née Dallas) was the wife of Drew Curious and mother of Ana Mace and Emma Curious.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Before joining the family[edit | edit source]

Not too much is known about Aiyana before joining the family. She freshly moved to Strangetown and simply took a cleaning job in order to pay her bills. She has always been mysterious about her family and never mentioned where her parents were from, or if she had any siblings. Her cleaning job at the Curious household was the first one, and she was immediately intrigued with the family, especially the strong looking Drew Curious. Being too shy, and not wanting to break up a seemingly happily family, Aiyana minds her own business and stays friendly with the members.

When things blow up in the house, as Drew's pregnant fiancée Genesis loses their baby girl, Aiyana can't help but wonder if this is a sign from the universe and her way into this seemingly loving family. When Drew approaches her, she shyly flirts with him, and it seems to work as he answers her charms. She isn't proud of it, but really likes Drew and as the two become closer she asks if he is sure about his choice, or if he is just making a silly mistake because his fiancée is depressed. He promises that whatever was between him and Genesis is over now and that he wants nothing more than to be with her. When things get steamy between the two, they get caught by Genesis who immediately storms out. Aiyana, deeply ashamed gathers her things and leaves the house.

She ignores him for a few days, but at some point can't ignore his calls anymore. When she answers Drew explains that he and Genesis split up, and that he really would like for Aiyana to be with him. She happily agrees and moves in with him not much later.

Adulthood[edit | edit source]

When arriving with her bags to the Curious household, her welcome wasn't as joyful as she hoped. To her horror she saw that Genesis was still living there, and the other members of the house seemed to heavily side with Genesis. Drew convinced Aiyan that Genesis being there would be temporarily, just till she could get back on her own feet. Although Aiyana was not totally convinced by this, she had no choice but to accept it. In the next few months she kept a low profile towards the other household members, and spend a lot of time with Drew. She grew more and more in love with him, and realized that this might actually be the man she could spend the rest of her life with. When he proposed she said yes. Her worries about Genesis possibly coming back into Drew's life seemed gone, even though she was still living with them. Aiyana never met Drew's parents, as his mother had died shortly before them getting together and Drew was on bad terms with his father, and the other family members she had met still didn't seem to like her too much. She convinced Drew to have a small and private wedding. Just before their wedding day Aiyana finds out that she is pregnant, and happily shares the news with Drew.

When Aiyana gives birth, she is surprised to see that not one, but two beautiful baby girls join their family. Ana and Emma seem to have an incredibly positive effect on the fresh parents. The way Drew interacts with his daughters is something unfamiliar for Aiyana, and she loves it! The four of them spend a lot of time together and Aiyana teaches Emma her toddler skills while Drew teaches Ana. The only time she gets upset with Drew is when he jokes that Ana is his favorite, but besides that life with the four of them seem incredibly perfect.

Things seem to change slightly when Drew climbs up in his career. Aiyana does not want to spend all her time in a house where no one likes her and honestly feels left out. Wanting to do some good, she decides to see if she can dabble in the law enforcement. She seems surprisingly skilled, and climbs up the ladder fast. She notices that Drew spends less and less time with her and the girls and thinking that's not fair, starts to work more and more herself, so that Drew has to let go of shifts to take care of the girls. It takes a while for Aiyana to realize that not Drew but Genesis ended up taking care of her daughters, and even got them into private school somehow. Again slightly jealous, now of perhaps losing her daughters to Genesis, she decides to slow down and take more responsibility for the girls back. At first things are awkward and hard, as Ana and Emma are used to Genesis and Genesis herself doesn't seem to stop taking care of the girls, but it seems that slowly Genesis steps back at places so Aiyana can step in and do some motherly things.

Aiyana is painfully aware of how Drew and herself had grown apart from each other, and considers leaving Strangetown. But when she gets to reconnect with her daughters, and even helps Emma out when Ana starts to date her ex-boyfriend Blaire Mace, she realizes she needs to stay for them, so she does.

Elderhood[edit | edit source]

As Aiyana grows older, she decides to retire from her job, so she can spend the rest of her life on the things that should have always mattered; her daughters. In a surprising turn of events, Drew opens up his heart and apologizes for the last few years, begging for her forgiveness. She does so, and is touched by his openness, but is still not totally convinced of his truthfulness.

When Ana gets engaged to Blair, she is extremely excited for them, even though she can tell that Emma still struggles with that relationship. Aiyana is worried for her when she introduces her new boyfriend Léon Darga, as he -even for Strangetown- is an unusual being. Emma convinces her not too worry, and the two end up engaged only shortly after Ana's marriage. Both Aiyana and Drew are thrilled to hear that they are becoming grandparents, however Drew died of old age before the baby was born. Before he died, Aiyana had admitted to him that she thought of running and leaving him many times, and still wasn't sure why she didn't end up doing it.

Ana's son Kevin Mace was born just a little after Drew's passing and Aiyana loved spending her last days with him. They bonded greatly before she passed away peacefully of old age.
