Annabeth "Anna" Hallaway (née Clarkton) was a powerful witch residing in Moonlight Falls during her lifetime. She was the girls' grandmother, mother to Alexandra Hallaway, and wife to the late Phillip Hallaway.

Biography

Childhood

Annabeth was born on May 12th 1935 to two powerful witches, Daniel Clarkton and Adrianna Clarkton. As a witch, she came to her powers early, as she can teleport her toys from her toy box to her if she wants to play as a toddler. Her mother was aware of her daughter's powers, and so she taught her proficiently in witchcraft and potion-making. Sometimes she wished she had more freetime as a child, but her perfectionist mother prevents her from doing what she wants for once. As a result, she became a perfectionist herself as an adult. She once fell off her bike and got injured, though a kind teenage boy helped her

Teenage Years

Annabeth did well on her schoolwork and her witchcraft studies. She was an overachiever as a teenager. On a winter day, she met another witch, a boy named Phillip. They became close to each other from that day, and they went to prom together.

Adulthood

Annabeth became a succesful adult with a job and she married her longtime sweetheart, Phillip Hallaway. They moved into their own house around Moonlight Falls, leaving the manor that she grew up in. In the year 1959, the couple had a child, Alexandra Hallaway. Her father died in 1961, after that she and her family moved back to the manor to tend to her elderly mother. Her mother died 2 years after the death of her father. She lived a peaceful life on the manor until an evil witch appeared in the house and killed her husband. She managed to protect her daughter and vanquished the witch. She was heartbroken over the death of her husband. After that tragic event, Anna raised her daughter alone and proficiently taught her witchcraft and magic.

Elder Years

After she retired from her job, her daughter married a witch named Jeremy Bennett. Alex then gave birth to a daughter, Abigail Hallaway. She was overjoyed with the birth of her first grandchild, spending her early golden years spoiling her. 3 years later, her second grandchild was born, April Hallaway. At first she desired to teach her grandchildren magic and witchcraft while her parents are away, but Alex and Jeremy decided to keep their children away from magic as much as possible. Anna disagreed with this decision, saying that the girls are witches, and that it's in their blood, doing so denies their birthright to magic. After her daughter became pregnant with her third child, Anna moved out to a nearby small house to give her daughter and her family some space. After her daughter separated from her husband, Anna moved back in to help with her granddaughters. Alex then gives birth to her third child, Ava Hallaway. While her daughter goes to work, she looks after her grandchildren. A year later, Alex became pregnant again, by the town's infamous trickster, a fairy named Whit Woodbliss. Anna was sworn to secrecy to keep the secret about the birth of Alex's fourth child, Arielle. Alex decided to give up her newborn fourth child for adoption to ensure her safety. A few months later Alex and Jeremy went back together. While driving home from a night out, Alex and Jeremy encountered a vampire. The vampire incinerated Jeremy, while he throwed Alex to a nearby river, drowning her. After her daughter's death, Anna is left alone to raise her granddaughters. Anna once had a difficulty dealing with Ava, who was extremely rebellious during her teenage years.

Death

After her granddaughters grew up and reach adulthood, She was diagnosed with a heart condition. Her granddaughters constantly bicker with each other, which saddens her, as she envisioned her granddaughters living peacefully together. Not long after Ava moved out, Anna had a heart attack and fell down the stairs, and eventually died at the hospital.
