Ava Hallaway is a witch living in Moonlight Falls. She currently lives with her sisters, April Hallaway and Arielle Stevens along with April’s husband, Wayne Dillon and their son, Dillon Hallaway.

Biography

Early Life

Ava was born to Alexandra Hallaway and Jeremy Bennett. She was the youngest of the couple’s child. She was born during the time her parents split temporarily. Her parents were killed by a vampire when she was just 4, so she barely remembers the event. Her powers were mostly dormant when she was a child, having been disabled by her grandmother when she was just a baby. As a child, she constantly bickers with Abby, her eldest sister, to which April would act as a mediator. If the sisters fight a lot, their grandmother would cast spells to stop the bicker and make them forget their fight.

Teenage Years

Ava was a rebellious teenage girl. She constantly get into trouble, during which her grandmother was so frustrated with her that she sometimes used spells to keep her under control, something she did with her own daughter when she was a teen.

Adulthood

She moved out at the age of 21, to a small house and worked as a mixologist on a club. She eventually moved back into the manor after her grandmother died due to heart problems.

Discovering magic

The night Ava moved in, she couldn’t go to sleep in her bedroom due to the cold temperature, so she search the house for extra blankets. She found an attic, which the sister’s family spellbook lies. Due to the death of their grandmother, her spell to disable the sister’s magic broke, and their powers were awoken once again.

Going to College and Meeting Trevor

A year after Ava moved back in, she decided to go to college having been bored staying at the house all day. She took Communications as a major. During college, she met a guy named Trevor. They bonded quickly and go out together to many parties and coffee shops. Sometimes they WooHoo at Trevor’s place, unaware that Trevor is secretly a vampire trying to kill her and her sisters. After graduating, Ava continued dating Trevor, still unaware of his true identity, and Trevor even attended April’s wedding.

Death of Abby

Months after April’s wedding, the sisters battled a vampire near the woods. Although Abby managed to fend him off, the vampire got the best of her and threw her on to a rock, killing her. April and Ava were devastated, but April was the one who got hurt the most, while Ava tried to stay strong for her grieving sister.

Meeting Arielle

After the death of Abby, Ava and April were visited by the ghost of Alex and Anna, their mother and grandmother respectively. They told the sisters that they have a baby sister, a half sister from Alex’s side. Alex asked the girls if they could track her down and convince her to join their coven to fill the space that Abby left. They found her eventually, and Ava eagerly welcomed Arielle into the family, because she always wanted a little sister to boss around, though April wasn’t the most welcoming. Ava now has to play the middle sister part and mediate between April and Arielle.

Marriage and Finding the truth

Trevor proposed to Ava to get closer to her sisters so he could fulfill his plans. Although it backfired, Trevor started to fall in love with Ava over time. Months after their wedding, Ava finds out that Trevor is a vampire, Although he explained to her that he truly loved her. Ava was heartbroken she felt being lied to. She eventually filed for divorce.

Getting a job

Ava eventually applied for a job on a newspaper office. Due to her degree and skills, she rose up the ranks to become an Editor in Chief in the office.

Birth of April’s son

A few months after her divorce from Trevor, April become unexpectedly pregnant. She eventually gave birth on an unplanned condition, during a full moon when the zombies attacked. Arielle and Wayne tried to fend off the zombies, while Ava delivered the baby, a healthy baby boy.

Trivia

• Practiced martial arts during her unemployed years. 
• Used to have her hair in a bob style similar to Arielle's, but grow it out long afterwards
