Bernie's first and only appearance is in The Sims 2. He lives in Pleasantview, sharing a home with his wife and son. Nothing is explained of Bernie's ancestry, but is fairly close to his in-laws. He has an apparent love for children, and aspires to have several children with his wife. He's fairly early in the education career.
Bernie has an appearance strikingly similar to those of the Ionello family. He has medium skin, brown hair, and brown eyes. He also has a circle beard.
At the start of the game, he has a very strong relationship with his wife and child. He also has another child on the way. He is quite good friends with John Burb.
