Buchanan Grunt is the oldest child of Buck and Jill Grunt. He lives with his parents, paternal grandfather, and brothers James and Rocky in Strangetown.

His grandparents are General Buzz and Lyla Grunt, and Pollination Tech 9 and Jenny Smith. Tank,Ripp Grunt and Johnny Smith are his uncles. He has five cousins, Natasha and Brick Grunt through his Uncle Tank, Gertrude and Dana Grunt through his Uncle Ripp, and Dimitri Smith through his Uncle Johnny.
