Camryn Curious (née McGaw) was the wife of Lucas Curious and mother of Deena Smith.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Before joining the family[edit | edit source]

Camryn grew up in foster care and never knew her real parents. During most of her life she did not really seem to mind, as she had plenty of brothers and sisters in foster care, but growing older her "siblings" kept leaving her while she stayed. It did not make her bitter, like it maybe would for so many others, but it definitely was really hard for her. She befriended Tiffany Riley in high school, where they would often skip classes together and would hang out at the park. Camryn didn't mind school as much as Tiffany did, but she mostly loved having a friend and hanging out with her. This rebellious behavior resulted in a somewhat unnatural craving for grilled cheese sandwiches which for most of her teenage years she did not consider harmful.

It was one day in the park when Camryn was munching on a grilled cheese that she met Lucas Curious and immediately fell for him. Lucas was impressed with her grilled cheese sandwich skills and joked if he would ever make one for her. Camryn, somewhat flattered agreed and told him to come back tomorrow. This was the start of many park dates as the two got to know each other really well. Lucas told her about his brother Joshua and Camryn suggested that he should bring him next time and she would invite her friend Tiffany as well. The four hit it off really well, and when Lucas and Joshua told Camryn their college plans, Camryn realized she had to step her game up if she wanted to be with Lucas. She decided to focus more on school so she would be able to join them. Not wanting to go alone, she tried to convince Tiffany to go as well. At first Tiffany seemed not interested at all, but she had grown to like Joshua a lot as well. After lots of hard work, Camryn got accepted into La Fiesta Tech.

Young Adulthood[edit | edit source]

Happy to have made it into La Fiesta Tech, Camryn moves into a dormitory together with Tiffany, Lucas and Joshua. The four are excited to start their college life and have some fun, but Camryn realizes that she needs to do well or she loses her scholarships. She chooses her philosophy major and takes her classes very seriously. Because of this, she decides to get rid of her obessesion with cheese and focus on a healthier and more common aspiration. Being able to spend a lot more time with Lucas and staying in the same house with him, finally allows the two to fall in love and become romantically involved with each other.

When Camryn talks to Tiffany about how they could possibly become sisters-in-law, Tiffany confesses that even though she likes Joshua she has also been seeing other Sims. Camryn, surprised by this asks her if Joshua is aware of this, where to Tiffany just shrugs and smiles. Not sure what to do with this information, Camryn decides to do nothing. The two grow a little apart after this time, as Tiffany prefers partying over taking school seriously, which Camryn can't relate to anymore. Her relationship with Lucas is very steady and by the end of her sophomore year Lucas proposes to her, which she accepts.

By the end of her junior year, with just her senior year ahead of her and a guaranteed graduation in sight, Lucas convinces her to relax a little bit and have some fun. After not thinking about grilled cheese sandwiches for a long time, she finally eats one and is immediately turned back on them. She follows Lucas' advice and enjoys her senior year together with her fiancé, while still graduating summa cum laude.

Adulthood[edit | edit source]

Moving back to Strangetown, Lucas suggests that the two should move in together as they are engaged and want to spend their life together. Both not being able to afford a house for just the two of them yet, move back in with Lucas' parents first. When Camryn hears that Joshua and his fiancée Tiffany will move back in as well, she is surprised as the two had fallen out of touch. She is happy to reconnect with her friend and to see that they will become sisters-in-law after all. With the four back in the Curious household they quickly realize that the home is way too small for them. Lucas and Joshua, not ready to separate even after all those years, suggest that the four of them could afford a house all together. Camryn, still optimistic on being with Lucas and her good friend Tiffany agrees. They move to the neighboring house.

After settling in, Camryn starts her job in the journalism career. Because of her degree, it is easy for her to earn several promotions, as her bosses are very impressed with her work. With a beautiful backyard, Camryn and Lucas decide to marry there and have a beautiful ceremony with friends and family. Although she tries to reconnect and involve Tiffany in her wedding, she notices that the two have less in common and perhaps either of them have changed. Camryn is sometimes suspicious about Tiffany's motives to be with Joshua, as often times she does not seem to care as much for him. It is small things like the two almost secretly getting married at the court house that worries her. When she talks to Lucas about this he reassures her that some people just do things differently, and that is brother always has been a little more low key.

Not too long after their wedding night, Camryn finds out that she is expecting. When she shares the news with Lucas he is thrilled, and the two of them are incredibly happy to start their own little family. Camryn learns that Tiffany is pregnant just a little after her announcement as well and hopes that perhaps the experience of pregnancy and fresh motherhood will have the two bond again.

Camryn gave birth to Deena Curious, a healthy baby girl. Her nephew Vin Curious was born shortly after Deena. Camryn loved watching the two be together, although it could be extremely tiring to have two crying babies at night. Her relationship with Tiffany did seem to improve a little bit during this time, as the two obviously had to bond over their kids as they often played together. With Camryn not able to work as much due little Deena, Lucas had to step up and work extra hard. Camryn wasn't always happy about this but knew it was necessary and appreciated his efforts. She taught Deena how to talk and also potty trained her.

When it was time for Deena to go to school, both Lucas and Camryn agreed to put her into private school, as they both valued the importance of good education. Around this time Tiffany announced her second pregnancy to Camryn, which surprised her as Joshua was often not home and busy at work and neither of them had expressed a desire for another child. Nonetheless she was happy for the two. When the little girl was born Camryn was the first one to be suspicious about who Harper's father was, as she looked nothing like Joshua. Tiffany denied that he was not and even blamed Camryn for making these allegations.

Elderhood[edit | edit source]

As Deena is growing into a full grown woman, Camryn is delighted to see that their hard work as parents have paid off. She is engaged to high school sweetheart Keef Smith and both of them seem excited to spend the rest of their lives together. After many successful years of being a journalist, Camryn decides it is time to retire and spend more time with Lucas. The two spend their final days together and celebrate the birth of their grandson Jack Smith together. Sometimes Camryn still struggles with the fact that she has grown apart from Tiffany, as they never came past the accusations of Camryn not believing Harper is Joshua's daughter. Camryn decided it was best to distance herself from Tiffany and her family, in order to not do any damage. Lucas encouraged her several times to patch things up with Tiffany, for family's sake, but understood Camryn's suspicions. Camryn is extremely sad when her husband Lucas passes away of old age, but is happy she got to live a long and beautiful life with him. Ironically Joshua passed away not long after his brother, leaving Camryn and Tiffany together.

It is only on Tiffany's death bed, that Camryn learns that Harper is most likely the daughter of Abhijeet Cho. A little while later Camryn passes of old age in her sleep.
