Charlie Redfield is one of the main characters of A Sim's Tale series.

He was an imaginary friend born from Chris' imagination who became a human thanks to the Imaginary Friend Metamorphium Potion created by his soon-to-be adoptive sister, Jean. He also once married to his girlfriend Sandi French, but the couple divorced for some reasons.

He was introduced in A Sim's Tale: Book 2 and returned in Book 3 as the deuteragonist and a supporting character in Book 4.

Biography[edit | edit source]

In 2020, a mysterious doll was found by Chris Redfield during the camping events. Knowing that the doll doesn't had an owner, Chris decided to kept the doll.

Several days later, Chris was given strict instructions to stay inside by his mother while she went to work. Chris was grumbling when he suddenly heard a mysterious voice. The voice asked Chris to place the doll in the ground. The doll then grew into size of a child and alive, revealing itself to be an Imaginary friend.

Chris was horrified at the first place, but the doll managed to calm him down and convinced that it was not dangerous. When Chris asked the doll's name, the doll revealed that Chris was the one who should gave the doll a name and determined the doll's gender. After thinking, Chris eventually gave the doll a boy name: Charlie. Charlie also revealed that only Chris could see him since he was Charlie's owner, while other people couldn't see him.

Whenever spending time together, Charlie would be stored inside Chris' backpack and often talk with him telepathically, made everyone surround Chris felt curious as they saw Chris apparently talking to himself. When John brought Chris and his friends to the Plaground, Charlie fell in love with Chris' friend, Sandi.

In one day, Chris asked Charlie about the possibility about to made him real. Charlie replied that Chris needed a Rainbow Gem and made an Imaginary Friend metamorphium Potion. Chris, with Tamera and Alex finally managed to found the gem inside the old mine.

At the end, thanks to Jean Redfield's constribution making the potion, Charlie eventually became a real child and promptly adopted by the Redfield family.

4 years later, Charlie, who was (physically) 14 years old, would finally graduated from elementary and middle schools and became a high school student. Charlie was so excited. However, Charlie was unable to decide which club he would choose for his after school activity.

When Chris invited to participate in a band competition, Charlie was recruited to form a band as the drummer.

They had trouble to found a name for their band. Charlie had a little argument with Sam since he disliked the names that Sam suggested for their band. Thanks to Ariana who later joined them as the keyboardist, the band finally got its name, Sunset Riders.

Charlie also still had crush on Sandi, but he afraid that Sandi would afraid of him if she knew that Charlie was not really a human. Charlie claimed that he would told her the truth by himself once he ready,

After an incident involving a punk named VJ Alvi, in which Charlie saved a child from the former, Sandi eventually learned about Charlie's feeling. As the result, Sandi accepted Charlie's feeling and the two became a couple.

During the band competition, The Sunset Riders' performance was spectacular. They tied with Lance's Red Underground. The final result was decided by the audience's vote with The Sunset Riders became the winner. Shortly after the competition, Charlie and the other would find Chris and Tamera kissing, he playfully teased Chris by recording the whole events with a handy cam.

Ten years later, Charlie, now (physically) 24 years old, became an Art Appraiser. He made a journey traveling around the nation in order to find new inspiration along with Sandi for several times.

At some point during this time, Charlie would eventually tell Sandi about his true identity as an Imaginary Friend.

Years later, Charlie changed his job from Art Appraiser to Art Teacher. Also, he and Sandi were eventually married and had a son. Unfortunately for the couple, things didn't end well as they divorced for some reasons. Charlie also lost his job as teacher. Heartbroken, Charlie moved from Pleasantview to Hidden Spring to get a new life and career.

Charlie however, managed to move on. He became a painter and his talent was recognized by everyone in SimNation. He even often traveled the world in order to attend art exhibition in other countries.

In 2048, Charlie heard that John passed away. He returned to the town and felt remorse to not be in his adoptive father's side.

Eight years later, a (physically) 46 years old Charlie returned from exhibition in France. He planned to return to the town to attend the family feast party, but he didn't tell anybody in order to made a surprise. Once arrived in Pleasantview, Charlie promptly visit Chris, Tamera, and their daughter Christine. They were so happy seeing Charlie returned for their family feast party.

In the original script I made, Charlie was supposed to be introduced at the end of Book 1.
He had crush on Sandi French.
People outside the Redfield family who aware about Charlie's true identity as imaginary friend were Tamera Gerardo and (possibly) Bella Bachelor.
