Dana Grunt is the middle child of Ripp and Ophelia Grunt. She lives with her parents, her twin sister Gertrude, and her younger brother Rex in Strangetown.

Her grandparents are General Buzz and Lyla Grunt, and Creon and Willow Nigmos. Tank and Buck Grunt are her uncles. She has four cousins, Natasha and Brick through her Uncle Tank, and James, Buchanan, and Rocky through her Uncle Buck.
