Danielle Deandra "Dani" Lin-Lothario (née Straight) (formerly O'Neal) is the ex-husband of Brady O'Neal. She is also the middle daughter of Rodney and Eileen Straight, the sister of Kirsten and Nadine Straight, and the half-sister of June Straight. She is the ex-wife of Tracey Lin-Lothario.

When Dani was 2, her father perished in a freak electrical accident. Her mother perished soon after, in a mysterious drowning. With no living aunts or uncles, she and her sister were placed in care of their half-sister, June.

Moving to Riverview

June and her husband, Taylor, divorced after he cheated on her with a woman named Janet. Janet remarried to him, but also divorced him for cheating. She reconciled with June, and the two unexpectedly began dating. However, Janet's job transferred her to Riverview. June, taking a chance on love, moved to Riverview with the kids.

Teen Years

In high school, Dani started dating a guy named Noah. Things were great. Until her sister, Nadine, stole him from her. Dani was obsessed, and in an effort to get him back, strained her relationship with Nadine. She tried to sabotage Nadine and Noah's dates and would attempt grand romantic gestures, to no avail. One day, Nadine and Noah were outside the grocery store, and Dani bribed one of her friends to kiss Noah. Nadine was outraged, but later found out that Dani bribed the "other girl" and forgave Noah. However, Noah cut off both girls. Their rivalry got too out of hand. That was the last day either of them had spoken to him. Things were rocky between Nadine and Dani.

Soon after, she met a man by the name of Brady O'Neal. However, he was about to graduate, and was even engaged to Susie Broke. However, she developed a huge crush on him, and the pair even seemed a bit flirtatious towards each other. Despite this, Dani didn't try anything out of respect for his relationship and became friends with him. She hoped that she'd get to be with him, even after his 2 kids were born. And as it turns out, Dani's wish came true. Brady and Susie divorced after she cheated on him; he even got full custody of the kids.

Young Adulthood

Dani also realized that she wanted to be a police officer, taking after her half-sister, June. She enrolled in the Riverview Police Academy, eventually passing and joining the force. The flirtatiousness between her and Brady also resumed. After a year, he proposed, and Dani obviously accepted.

Nadine was obviously invited to the wedding. While she reluctantly attended, things between them stayed sour. They hadn't spoken for awhile after the wedding. After Dani and Brady married, Susie kept trying to make her way back into Brady's life. She tried to visit, constantly called Brady, and harassed Dani. Eventually, they got a restraining order against her. Susie stopped bothering them after that.

Adulthood

Dani's father-in-law, Sheldon, passed away from old age, survived by his children and his loving wife, Starr. Starr later remarried a man named Patrick, and moved out of the family mansion to go live with him. Gabrielle had also moved out, so it was her and Brady, and Bryce and his new wife, Evangeline. Things weren't as idyllic as they seemed to be, however. Dani and Brady's marriage began to show cracks. Unbeknownst to anyone, Dani started a secret affair with a man named Rory Farrell

Following her nephew Tristan's, wedding, Dani realized how short life is. For the first time in awhile, she reached out to Nadine and tried to patch up their relationship. Although the relationship was still tense, the two were finally on speaking terms.

However, it was obvious how unhappy she was with Brady. He caught on to her affair with Rory. After over 30 years of marriage, Brady filed for divorce. After all this went down, Dani went to the bar one night and ran into her sister's ex-husband, Tracey. After a few too many drinks, the two ended up WooHooing, but decided to end things there and never speak of it. Dani was finally reconciling with Nadine, she didn't need to know. She and Tracey still harbored attraction to one another, but she continued to see Rory.

Elder Years

Dani's sister, Kirsten, had passed away. A few months after her funeral, Dani wound up WooHooing with Tracey again. Guilt-stricken, she confessed to Nadine what happened. Nadine became irate and her confession culminated in an argument. The two were rivals once again. With nothing to loose, Dani and Tracey started officially dating. Reaching the end of their lives, Tracey and Dani quickly became engaged. After hearing this news, Nadine packed up and moved to Hidden Springs, never to speak to Dani or Tracey ever again.

Shortly after Nadine's move, Tracey and Dani married, in the same church where he had his wedding to Nadine all those years ago. However, they rushed into it and it showed. The two divorced after a year of marriage. Shortly after, Tracey passed following a fatal dose of food poisoning. People suspected Dani, although she vehemently denied the accusations.

However, people's suspicions were further raised when Dani continued to rent the apartment her and Tracey shared from his brother Gary. But she was accquitted of the charges when the police found no evidence. Dani passed away from old age. She was survived by her estranged sister Nadine and her ex-husband Brady.

Trivia

• Dani is the first sim in her family to be considered rich, due to the influx of money she gained from her marriages to Brady and Tracey.
• Dani is also the first person in her family to take their spouse's last name.
• Dani is the only one of her siblings who hasn't had or adopted children
• Despite her infidelity, she is on relatively good terms with her ex-husband, Brady, and the two are still friends.
