When Nancy Landgraab and Vita Alto compete in the mayor election, the residents of Sunset Valley must choose sides. Dieter Curtiz was among the people who sided with Nancy, and even became leader of the group and was enemies with Thornton Wolff, who sided with Vita.
Dieter and his group were almost got into a fight with Thornton's. Fortunately, they were stopped by Gunther Goth, who arrived after John Redfield contacted him.
Four weeks had passed, he and his friends were gathered in the Landgraab house. When Holly came she gave them something which she claimed could help.
In the inauguration day Simis, Geoffrey, and Dieter watched the ceremony from the television.
