Dirk Dreamer is a well known resident in my player stories in The Sims 2 in Pleasantview. He is the son of Darren Goth (né Dreamer) and the late Darleen Dreamer, the adopted son of the late Darleen Dreamer (née Matlapin) and later Cassandra Goth, the half-brother of Bella II, Mortimer II, Cornelia II and Darleen Goth, the ex-boyfriend of Lilith Pleasant and the boyfriend of Angela Pleasant. Dirk is 13 days from being an Adult. When he grows into an Adult, he will be voiced by Stephen Kearin.

When I first noted that Dirk's relationship with Lilith was less than perfect, I actually kept them together for quite some time. But I'd already broken Angela up with Dustin Broke so it made sense to break Lilith and Dirk up as well so that I could pair them up with Dustin and Angela respectively. Lilith and Dirk's relationship involved romantic gestures which made it seem perfect. But their relationship had little else to recommend it. Dirk has become employed in the Athletic career starting as a Waterperson.

Dirk was very happy to call Darren's new wife Cassandra family. Their house has become rather crowded with four new half-siblings Bella II, Mortimer II, Cornelia II and Darleen. But Dirk had no trouble in making room for his four siblings. I decided to let Dirk keep his last name Dreamer, rather than having him adopt the Goth family name because "Dirk Goth" just didn't sound right.

Despite being the boyfriend to Angela Pleasant, Dirk has a want to start an Affair with my CAS Suzy Parker.

Trivia

• I consider Darleen Dreamer to be the first adoptive mother to Dirk, since I consider the hidden Darleen to be Dirk's real mother.
• Dirk's headshot (seen above) is somewhat lighter than the default one.
• One of my gameplay snapshots features Dustin trying to give Dirk a makeover with the Ug-No-More Makeover Station, but the makeover was unsuccessful.
• Despite being a Fortune Sim, Dirk has several qualities that one would except of a Knowledge Sim. Because of this, I will give him the Knowledge secondary aspiration once I have installed FreeTime.
