The Gatlin family of Roaring Heights are from the downloadable neighborhood of Roaring Heights, available from The Sims 3 Store. The family consists of the married couple Jadyn and Chad, and their daughter Gretle.

Their connected to the Goth family from Sunset Valley but much earlier as seen that Mortimer's grandmother Gretle is a teenager.

Onomatology

Jadyn: An invented name, using the popular aden suffix sound found in such names as Braden, Hayden and Aidan. This name first became common in American in the 1990s when similar-sounding names were increasing in popularity.
Chad: From the Old English name Ceadda which is of unknown meaning.
Gretle: Variant of Gretel
