Goneril Capp
Biography
While Goneril wanted children, it certainly wasn't her idea to have this many kids. And why does she feel like Albany perhaps married her more for her money than for her love?
Goneril Capp is the President of Capp & Ulett Legal and a major player in the feud between the Capps and Montys. She is the second daughter of Consort and Contessa Capp, wife of Albany Capp, and mother of Miranda, Hal, Desdemona, and Ariel Capp. She lives with her husband and children in the large house on Bard Boulevard, across from the Summerdream residence.
Growing up, Goneril always resented her older sister Cordelia, whom she saw as spoiled and naive. She became determined to outdo her in everything, including family, which led her to make some questionable choices regarding family planning despite only really wanting two kids. She still has some confusing feelings about Cordelia's death. She misses her sister, of course, but at the same time it feels oddly freeing that her longtime rival isn't there anymore, and that just makes her feel even worse.
Her relationship with her husband is questionable at best, and Goneril sometimes wishes that she could just divorce Albany, like her sister Regan did with her first husband, but she's determined to make the marriage work for the sake of the kids; plus, she worries that at her age, she won't be attractive to potential suitors anymore.
As President of Capp & Ulett Legal, Goneril was recently targeted by one of the Monty crime syndicate's hitmen, who set her house on fire. Luckily, nobody was hurt and the fire department arrived in time to save the house. Goneril is convinced that this is the same arsonist who burned down Cordelia's house, killing her and her husband, and is determined to see him convicted, both to avenge her family and to assuage her guilt over the mixed feelings she's always had about Cordelia's death.
In the canon Veronaville and in Roaring Heights, Goneril is the eldest Capp daughter, but I made her the youngest due to the Veronaville family tree naming her as the second and the relative ages of her and Cordelia's children making much more sense if she was the second.
I edited Goneril's genetics to reflect her actual hair color. Her dominant gene is now for brown hair, not red, and she has a recessive gene for blond hair.
