Harper Curious was the daughter of Tiffany Curious and Abhijeet Cho and the half sister of Vin Curious. For the majority of her life she thought that Joshua Curious was her biological father and Vin her full brother.

Later in life she gave birth to a girl named Riley.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Babyhood[edit | edit source]

With the birth of Harper, tension in the Curious household has risen. Although Harper is enjoying her innocence and bats her beautiful gray eyes, her mother Tiffany is accused by sister-in-law and long time friend Camryn that Tiffany's husband Joshua might not be the father. Tiffany denies that any of this is true and tells her not to damage her family any more.

Harper receives a lot more attention from her mother as a baby than her brother Vin did, and the two seem inseperable.

Toddlerhood[edit | edit source]

Harper is a very happy toddler, and enjoys playing with her older brother and cousin Deena. She adores her father, as much as he adores her and spends a lot of time with him too. Joshua teaches her how to walk and talk, while Tiffany uses her how to properly use the potty. Life seems perfect for the four of them and Harper is unaware of the tension between Tiffany and Camryn, as they often try to avoid each other or play nice when there is a family gathering.

Childhood[edit | edit source]

It is when Harper gets slightly older and starts going to school, that she notices the weird relationship between her mother and Camryn, as well as her father and twin brother Lucas. Especially as Vin keeps retelling stories about how all of them often took trips together before Harper was born and how this was stopped after. Tiffany always told Harper that this was simply because they all decided to focus a bit more on their careers, and auntie Camryn found it hard that they had Harper, as she would have loved a second child. Harper can't help but feel responsible for the once so close twin brothers broken relationship, but doesn't know how to fix it. Unaware to her parents, she tries to be extra nice to her aunt and uncle and spends hours and hours crafting gifts for them.

Just like the rest of the family, and in Curious tradition, Harper gets accepted into SimCity Academy together with her brother Vin and cousin Deena. Even though her attempts to please her uncle and aunt seem unsuccessful, Harper is happy to see that she is creating a great friendship with her cousin Deena and the two get very close. She often wants to ask Deena why her parents don't like her, but never has the courage to actually ask her.

Teenhood[edit | edit source]

Moving on to high school, things seem to only get harder for poor Harper. Her aunt and uncle will often not even look at her anymore, which is difficult when you share a house. Her close friend Deena seems busy with new high school friends, as well as her new boyfriend. Although her father often tries to hang out and spend some time with her, she gets more and more annoyed by his goofy ways. She is desperately looking for some guidance from her mom, especially how to deal with her father, but she often times seems nervous and eager to leave the room if Harper is in it. Thankfully her brother Vin is a real hero and offers some great advice on how to deal with strange parents, as well as the normal troubles of high school.

As she hangs out with Deena, she convinces Harper to go out and meet a boy as well. At first she isn't really convinced but Deena promises it will be fun and she will set everything up for her. Set up with Amin Couderc, she goes out on a date. Surprisingly enough she is having a good time and enjoys the date. Amin is a completely gentleman and asks at the end of the date if he may kiss her. She thinks it's adorable and lets him. When Deena asks how it went, Harper tells her everything but immediately tells Deena that she won't be seeing him again. A little disappointed Deena immediately starts to pitch the next boy she could possibly date, but Harper tells her that she prefers to be alone and figure out life by herself for a bit first.

One day when Harper gets home a little earlier than normal, she bumps into a strange man in front of the house, just as Tiffany opens the door. The man has a striking similarity to Harper, which shocks her. Tiffany is visibly panicked and uncomfortable and tells the man to leave and never come back. The man seems just as surprised to see Harper, but doesn't say a word as he leaves. When Harper asks what that was all about she doesn't get a straight answer from Tiffany. After attacking her with questions for a while Tiffany tells her that he was Tiffany's half brother and that he was looking for money. She begs Harper to not tell her father as she doesn't want anything to do with the man. Suspicious, but slightly relieved that her mother strange behavior of years and years might have nothing to do with her, Harper agrees to it.

Adulthood[edit | edit source]

After graduating, Harper is eager to move out and get away from her mother, who she still doesn't trust completely. While looking for a place, she is asked by her brother Vin and his fiancée Jessica to move in with them. She had become friends with Jessica and thought her brother had found it's perfect match, so she was happy to accept the moving proposal. She got a job in the slacker career, not sure what to do or where to go with her life. Her cousin Deena, now married to her high school sweetheart and expecting child number two, encourages her to find and start a family of her own. Vin, starting his own family as well and having his hands full with his son seconds that, but also tells her it is okay to do things in her own time. Harper is happy to see that they are starting their beautiful families, but lets them know she is more than happy with being the fun aunt for now.

As her father Joshua passes, Harper is reminded how her relationship with her parents have always been a sore spot for her. She had always thought things would be patched up before it was too late and with her father passing it was an awful reminder that for him it was too late. As she tries to make things right with her mother Tiffany, she notices that she is still extremely nervous. Whenever Harper confronts her and tells her that she is trying her best here, Tiffany always shuts her down and changes the subject. Finally her mother admits that her half brother, who Harper had seen many years ago, is extremely sick and most likely doesn't have long to live. When Harper encourages Tiffany to go see him, and even offers to go with her for support, Tiffany gets hysterical and immediately tells her she regrets telling Harper anything. Harper drops it and the two speak of it never again.

When Harper is dragged out into the town with Deena, who desperately needed a child-free night, she meets Buzz Grunt, a handsome and lonesome, some might even say shy man. She is charmed by his mysterious looks and Deena wouldn't be Deena if she didn't encourage Harper to go for it. Deena makes up an excuse about the kids as she storms off, leaving the two together. Harper really likes Buzz and has never connected that easily with anyone before besides maybe Deena and Vin. The two drink a lot of fizzy drinks as the hours fly by. The next day Harper ends up waking up in a bed she doesn't recognize with a fully naked Buzz. The two laugh about it and admit that they had a really great time with each other, with an apparently smashing ending. They exchange phone numbers and say their goodbyes.

Waiting for Buzz's call, she gets a call from Vin that Tiffany is really sick, and will probably not make it through the night. She rushes to her mother's house, where she finds Vin, Jessica and their son Sander already near her mother. When Tiffany sees Harper she starts to cry and asks for the room alone with her daughter. As everybody leaves and Harper settles down she consoles her mother and apologizes for behaving so awfully to her. Tiffany, still crying cuts her off and tells her that Harper hasn't been anything but wonderful and that in fact Tiffany herself has been awful. She admits that the man Harper had seen many years ago was not Tiffany's half brother, but in fact an old boyfriend, as well as an ex-colleague named Abhijeet Cho, whom very likely is her father. Confused, Harper asks what her mother is talking about and Tiffany starts telling her how they met in college and reconnected at work. Not wanting to hear any of this at all and even more upset to have unresolved business with her father Joshua, Harper bursts out in tears and begs her mother to stop. As Vin walks in to check on the two Harper asks him if she knew any of this, to which he says no and seems as shocked as her. As Harper remembers the story of Abhijeet being sick, she asks her mother if he is still alive, to which she replies that he is not. Angry, Harper storms off and refuses to speak to her mother anymore.

For days Harper is feeling sick, crying and throwing up. All of a sudden everything makes sense, the mean stares from her uncle Lucas and aunt Camryn, the confused man (her real father Abhijeet) all those years ago, and her father desperately trying to find common ground but failing to do so. As the puking isn't stopping and her nausea doesn't end, she sees a doctor who tells her that she is pregnant. Again shocked and scared of Buzz's reaction, who she still hasn't heard of, she is unsure what to do. Just a few hours after her doctor's visit she gets a call from Vin telling her that her mother has passed away. She realizes that she can't disappoint her child like her mother did with her and decides to keep it, but won't bother to contact Buzz to save her from more pain.

As Harper grows rounder, her brother Vin and sister-in-law Jessica are fully supportive of her choices and help her in any way. She is extremely thankful for that and appreciate that they don't bring up any of the recent parental discoveries. When Harper reaches her due date, it is Jessica that suggest that maybe she needs to reach out to Buzz, as he might be more receptive to it than she would expect. After all it is his child as well. Harper tells her that she isn't ready for that yet, but might reconsider when their child is born.

When Harper gives birth to daughter Riley, it is no doubt that Buzz is the father. Nervous but determined, she decides to visit him and takes Riley with her. As she knocks on Buzz's door, a woman similar of age as Harper opens the door. Surprised Harper asks if this is where Buzz Grunt lives, to which she replies yes. At that moment Buzz comes to the door and Harper can see that the woman is heavily pregnant. Buzz is surprised but happy to see Harper and it takes only a moment for him to spot little Riley. His jaw drops as he immediately understands what happens. They invite Harper and Riley in, where she explains the whole story. In his turn Buzz tells him that he did reach out to Harper, but that somehow they must have messed up a number in her phone number. As she had never told him her last name he couldn't look her up either. He went back to the bar for many nights hoping that Harper would come back, but met Delaine there instead. The two hit it off immediately and got engaged very quickly, as it turned out Delaine also got pregnant on their first date. They recently got married and are expecting their first boy together. Although the situation is extremely unusual, Harper is happy to see that Buzz is so nice to her and Riley and even Delaine seems to be taking the news rather well. She admits that she was a little shocked at first, but wants Buzz to have a relationship with his daughter as well for their baby boy to meet their sister. Buzz even offers for Harper and Riley to move in with them, but as Harper sees Delaine's eyes widen she politely declines.

Anxious but positive with the amount of help around her, Harper starts her motherhood adventure. Her nephew Sander adores Riley and loves spending time with her, and when things get too much for Harper, Vin and Jessica happily step in. Even Buzz and Delaine become good friends to her. As Riley grows up Harper teaches her how to walk and talk and leaves the potty training to Buzz. She even gets ambitious in her job and receives multiple promotions. Before she knows it Harper has turned into a real pro of a mother and even takes care of Buzz's two boys Ray and Hayden with times, as the three siblings bond.

When it was time for Riley to go to school, Vin suggested that they should keep the Curious tradition alive and proposed a double application for Riley and Sander to go to SimCity Academy. Harper agreed and hoped that this would make Riley a little less unique and get her some more friends. With times her sister-in-law Jessica would ask if Harper had any desire to date again, to which she almost and genuinely said no. She had never met someone like Buzz, but she is happy for him and Delaine. Now she realizes that Riley has replaced that love and there's no room for anybody else.

Elderhood[edit | edit source]

As soon as Harper's bones starts cracking, she decides to retire and gives up her long and successful career. Although it took some time to get used to her daughter's creative mind, she is incredibly proud of Riley too. As she is still close with Buzz and Delaine, they often talk about what a shame it is that the three siblings aren't as close as they used to be anymore. Both boys have gone and started families of their own already, while that would be the last thing on Riley's mind. Harper loves that Riley looks like her in so many ways, but also sees why her family would worry for her with times. She is extremely sad to hear that Buzz passed away and pays her respects at his funeral. She is shocked to see Delaine, who likes like a live sack of bones, but is pleasantly surprised by the heartwarming welcoming of Ray and Hayden, as they proudly introduce their families to her. Not long after she hears from them that their mother passed away too.

Harper is slightly upset with Riley as she refused to go to either funerals, and hopes that she won't regret it like Harper did with her parents. Riley however sees this completely different and feels like she said goodbye to them years ago already. It is hard for Harper when her brother Vin dies and luckily Riley seems a little more understanding about her favorite uncle. She is a great support for Harper and takes care of her in her last days. Harper is so happy that she had Riley all these years ago. She peacefully dies in her sleep.
