Herb Oldie is a well known resident in my player stories in The Sims 2 in Pleasantview. He is the son of the late Myron and Irma Oldie, the husband of Coral Oldie (née Ruggbyrne), and the adoptive father of Mary-Sue Pleasant (née Oldie). Herb is on his 4th day as an Elder.

Herb and the other Family bin Sims in Pleasantview were deleted the first time I played the Sims 2, so he didn't appear until I changed computers and re-did everything that had happened in my gameplay from scratch.

Even though Herb's pre-made biography states that he was once a businessman, I never considered giving him a job in the Business career because it didn't seem to fit his character. He was employed in the Service career instead, starting as a Petrol Station Attendant.

Despite being a Romance Sim, Herb has been married for a long time without ever committing affairs. The question is, will his chosen career path ruin his chances of remaining true to his wife? After all, there is a good chance that Herb will meet some attractive young females in that career.

The head-shot of Herb that I uploaded (seen above) is less polygonal and more detailed than the original. Despite being a Romance Sim, Herb has several qualities that one would expect of a Pleasure, or even a Family or Fortune Sim. I will decide which of these aspirations I will choose for Herb's secondary aspiration, once I have installed Free Time.
