Ignazio Ionello's only playable appearance is in The Sims 3. By the time the storyline has caught up, Ignazio is enjoying elder-hood. He is retired, with enough money saved to support his wife and teenage son. Although appearing as a quiet and well-mannered old man, he is quite eccentric, often seen creating random, useless gizmos that seem to mean the world to him. Also, he is infamous for being quite the wild beast at parties.
He is good friends with the Cook family, as is his wife. He is very close to his family, best friends with all of his immediate relatives.
Although deceased at the beginning of The Sims 2, Jonathan and his wife both do appear in the family trees and are able to be resurrected. Unlike most of the Ionello family members, neither Ignazio or his his wife are expanded compared to their previous appearances. Neither either of their parents or siblings are introduced, leaving much to be wondered about their childhood.
