Jack Smith (previously John Smith) is the son of Keef and Deena Smith. He is a descendant of the Curious family through his mother. Remarkable is that while Keef was an alien Jack did not inherit his green skin, which is unusual because these genes are normally dominant.

Later in life Jack married Marie Smith and had daughter Morgan and son Phineas with her.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Babyhood[edit | edit source]

Named John at birth by his parents Keef and Deena Smith as an homage to his paternal grandfather, John seemed to fit in perfectly with the strong male line of Smiths in Strangetown. Sure he was perhaps a little more human looking than his ancestors, but his piercing green eyes were a dead giveaway to his family roots. John was perceived as a quiet and peaceful baby and felt most comfortable when he was close to his mother's chest.

Toddlerhood[edit | edit source]

If there would be a contest for "Cutest Toddler in Strangetown", John would have won it for sure. He reassembles his mother Deena closely, much to her excitement. His relationship with his mother is great, while is father Keef is often away for work. As Deena is a stay at home mom she spend all of her times teaching John various toddler skills like walking and talking, while the most vivid memory John has of is father at this time is the desperation of him trying to get John to pee on a potty. The few moments the three of them were together, he remembers his parents arguing a lot about the different expectations they both have from each other.

Childhood[edit | edit source]

Getting ready to start school, John was put in one of the finest private schools in Strangetown: SimCity Academy. He was told that the school was a long lasting tradition in his mother's family, and that it was also the place she met his father. John was never sure what to do with this information, but realized that the school was important for his mother, so it must be important for him. Luckily for John he was an intelligent child and often turned out to be the teacher's favorite. He realized that many of his classmates had siblings, and he started wondering why he didn't have any. When he asked his mother she started crying and that was the last time he brought it up. He missed his father even though he didn't really know who to miss as he was rarely home, but also felt strange when they went on their yearly fishing trips to bond. John realized that even though he didn't dislike his father, he did not really like him either. On the other hand there was his mother, who he absolutely adored.

Teenhood[edit | edit source]

Growing up and experiencing teenhood, John realizes that he doesn't care much for his male ancestors and the Smith line. He feels weird being named after a grandfather that is nothing like him and quite frankly was the father of a man he doesn't like either. He eases his mom into the idea of calling him Jack instead of John. At first Deena seems to be confused by this request, as she doesn't seem anything wrong with the name. Knowing that he could never explain his reasoning to his mother, he just tells her this is something he needs to try. His father Keef was a little less accepting, and often still kept calling him John, but eventually even his father caved for the new name.

Jack met paper delivery girl Marie Mazza and fell deeply in love with her. She had just moved into town and knew very few Sims. Even though she was a little shy, and difficult to interact with, Jack never gave up and would stand outside every morning as Marie would come and deliver the paper. Eventually Marie caved to Jack's advances and agreed to go out with him. As the two start dating, Jack feels guilty towards his mother as she is alone a lot if the times. Whenever Jack tries to stay and hang out with her however, she encourages him to go out and be there for Marie as she can tell how much the two of them like each other. When Jack talks to his father Keef about this, he waves it off and tells him that he would know if his wife was lonely.

Although he doesn't believe either of his parents, he decides to follow up his mother's advice and starts dating Marie, with the two eventually going steady. Interestingly enough Jack spends the rest of his school time balancing his relationship and his academics, as he creates an intense passion for the ocean.

Adulthood[edit | edit source]

Still sticking to the name Jack, he officially changes his name after graduation. Jack can tell that his father is a little offended by this but he genuinely doesn't care too much about his opinion. Thanks to his great effort in school, Jack gets his dream job in oceanography.

As Jack is also still insanely in love with Marie, he asks her to move in with him, which she accepts. As they both work on their careers in order to afford their own house and move out of his parents', Marie becomes pregnant. Both Jack and Marie are overjoyed with his unplanned, but very welcome miracle. Deena suggests that the two actually stay until after the baby is born, so she can help out whenever needed. Jack agrees that this is a great idea, but Marie doesn't seem so thrilled about that idea at first. To ease her mind, Jack plans a romantic proposal, in their own home to smoothen the deal. Surprised by the proposal, Marie says yes and agrees to at least have the baby in the house. Content with having his most important women close to him a bit longer, Jack starts preparing the house for the little one.

As Marie plans the wedding with Deena, the two grow closer and turn out to be a great wedding plan theme. The wedding day arrived and overall Jack was very happy with how all of it went. Most of his family and friends were there and his father was only 30 minutes late to the ceremony, compared to his usual two hours. The timing of the wedding was perfect, as that night their daughter Morgan was born. Jack was over the moon the add a third important woman to his posse and was so proud of the hard work of Marie.

It didn't take long for Marie to get pregnant again, as Morgan had just turned into a toddler as she shared the news with Jack. He was excited for another child but did feel overwhelmed with little Morgan already. It was also hard for him to balance his career and fatherhood, as he hoped to be anything but his father. Even though his father has been showing regret on his actions back in the day. Jack could see that Keef was really trying a lot better with Morgan, and was a little jealous of that with times. Marie gives birth to their son Phineas and sees how crazy his mother is about the boy. She often compares him to Jack, which often makes him blush. Jack is heartbroken when his mother passed away, and double crushed when he hears that his father passed mere weeks after that. He takes a while off work to spend more time with his family and makes sure that he gives his wife all the love, attention and help she needs.
