Jade Alexa O'Reilly (née Campbell) was the youngest of the Campbell family, as well as the wife of former football player Josh O'Reilly. Jade was a Waterford Valley girl through and through, and she's had it all. The doting, caring and rather charming teenage sweetheart husband, the academically gifted and carefree children and to round it up, she's had a disaster-free life. She was known as the beauty and brains of Waterford Valley and despite being a wife of a former Waterford Valley's football team elite, she wasdefinitely her own person, and she didn't take any nonsense, whether it's from her worst enemy or her own sisters.

Childhood[edit | edit source]

Jade was born at the Queen Elizabeth Maternity Hospital, Waterford Valley, to Victoria (née Shepherd) and Robert Campbell. Jade has three siblings called Amy, Jay and Lauryn. Two years before Jade's birth, Lauryn was born. Her parents endeavoured to give Jade and her siblings a very pleasant childhood, despite coming from a lower-middle class background. The Campbell kids were ambitious and articulate, but grounded and down-to-earth. When Jade was a toddler, she had already fulfilled her creativity and charisma skills, as well as her aspiration meter.

As a child and teenager, Jade was a very academically gifted girl, but she kept the balance between friends and education. She wasn't two-faced, or trend-following like the other popular girls in her year, but she was very different to everyone else, which is why everyone liked her. It wasn't because they wanted to be rebellious, it was because they always found common ground. Jade has had a few relationships, such as JJ Wynterfield and Ryan Foster. Jade has never been dumped, but these relationships did end on good terms and Jade has remained good friends with her exes.

When Jade was a teenager, she had a passion for cooking and playing musical instruments, such as the guitar and the ukulele, but she had insecurities and she often tried to shy away from boys after her breakup with Ryan. She met her husband, Josh O'Reilly at a café, where her favourite band, Friendly Fires were playing. After Jade and Josh's encounter at the Roundview Gardens, the campus for Roundview College & University students, they both got jobs at Finn & Jack's Diner. One night, after the diner had closed for the evening, Josh had finally realised that Jade had loved him since the moment they met, and although the feeling was mutual, he didn't pluck up the courage to tell her. The two where cleaning the diner, and a friendly joke about Harry Potter turned into a kiss. From that very event, Jade and Josh were an item.

Adulthood[edit | edit source]

A few years on and after quitting their jobs at Finn & Jack's Diner, Jade and Josh had finally finished their time at Roundview, living next door to each other in Roundview's student cottages, they always found the time to see each other and spend special time together. Three weeks later, after five years of dating, Josh had proposed to Jade. Jade has immediately accepted and they eventually were married, and Jade moved into Lavender Cottage. Jade got along with Josh's brother, Charlie, and his fellow room mates. After Charlie and his friends moved out and lived in Jade's old house with her sister Lauryn and her wife, Elle. After weeks of thinking it through and discussing, Josh and Jade had finally decided to have children. While her husband was at work, Jade welcomed her first child, Leo Alexander Felix O'Reilly. A few months afterwards, with Josh watching, the couple their second child, a healthy boy named Flynn Oliver Sean O'Reilly. As the boys aged into children, their daughter, Amelia Sapphire Elizabeth O'Reilly, was born.

After her husband got promoted to a Superstar in the Athletic career, things started to change. Josh was away playing matches abroad, and due to his popularity and fame, girls started throwing themselves at Josh, but Josh never accepted these advances, staying faithful to his wife. However, this still made Jade worry. The thought of having other girls love her husband kept her awake at night. She wouldn't doubt Josh's love for her for a second, but she was worried about him. Things started to really change when a woman that Josh had never met stalked the O'Reilly family and claimed that her baby was Josh's. The O'Reilly's representatives had denied the allegations, and Josh even did a DNA test to prove his innocence. Jade was relieved to find out that her husband was faithful for the twelve years that they were together, but this did put a temporary strain on their relationship.

After the couple had finally forgotten the allegations, Jade had received the news that her father, Robert Campbell, had died. Jade was naturally devastated, but she had finally remembered what her father said to her if he were to die. He said not to worry and that he would definitely have fun in the skies.

A few weeks later, Josh decides to retire his #5 shirt and starts a new career in Law Enforcement. This works out a lot more for the couple, as Josh gets to spend less time away from his friends and family. While Josh is at work, Jade discovers that she is pregnant with her fourth child.

On the following Sunday, Jade gives birth to her fourth child, a girl named Emily Lauryn Amy O'Reilly in her home. Jade becomes an aunt when her sister Lauryn and her wife Elle, adopt a toddler called Aisling. Meanwhile, Leo is dealing with having a crush on his next door neighbour, Sophie Wilson. Amelia and Flynn eventually sort out their differences and Emily grows into a child. Despite living in a small house, all the O'Reilly children have their own bedrooms.

Attempted Suicide[edit | edit source]

Everything in Jade's life is perfect until all of her children are teenagers. At Emily's thirteenth birthday party, she walks in on Josh having sex with Alex Whitton. Jade attempts to reconcile with Josh over the incident, but this eventually fails and Jade files for divorce. After the divorce is finalised, Jade moves into Scarlet Manor when Alex Whitton moves into Lavender Cottage.

Jade falls into a very serious state of depression and begins to take ecstasy and she eventually gets into the habit of going out to nightclubs and having one-night-stands to get rid of the burdening feeling of how her marriage went wrong. One morning, after coming back home from a one-night-stand, Jade gets a gun from her safe and starts writing out heartbreaking suicide notes to each of her children, as well as Josh, JJ and to her family. After drinking half a bottle of tequila, Jade loads the gun and puts it to her head, ready to die. She closes her eyes and prepares to shoot...

Until her friend, Ollie Wrightford, sees Jade with the gun through the front window and kicks down Jade's front door to stop her. Ollie eventually confesses his love for Jade, and he embraces her. Jade sells Scarlet Manor and stays with Ollie afterwords.

Death[edit | edit source]

Ollie builds up Jade's confidence and convinces Jade to pursue her dream of becoming a model. Jade then agrees and she accepts a job at Givenchy. Everything was going brilliantly until there was more and more pressure on Jade to lose weight. Jade lives on diet coke and salad to try and achieve her goal of losing weight, but this leads to her downfall.

While on a business trip to Riverwood, Ollie finds Jade collapsed in her hotel room and immediately calls the emergency services, where she is pronounced dead on arrival to Riverwood Memorial Hospital. A post-mortem shows that Jade had died of starvation.

The news gets back to Jade's family and friends, and Jade's body is returned back to Waterford Valley. Ollie, JJ, Josh, Leo and Flynn carry Jade's coffin into the church and Jade's funeral commences. All 5000 guests pay a tribute to Jade by singing her favourite song, and release sky lanterns and balloons into the sky. Jade's body is cremated and Josh, Ollie and JJ equally have Jade's ashes in a Gameboy shaped box(because Jade specifically wrote that in her will).
