Jake met Lisa at the hospital where they worked, and they instantly fell in love. They become engaged and marry, with Jake taking Lisa's last name, Jake becomes part of the family when Kim (Lisa's sister) takes a shine to him, and even more when Lisa becomes pregnant. Shortly after his son Chance's birth, Jake had a fling with Kenny Harley, and when they WooHooed at Jake's home, Lisa caught them. Lisa made Jake choose between her and Kenny, and surprisingly Jake chooses Kenny. Lisa and Jake divorce, and Lisa flies into a depression. Now Jake is living happily with Kenny, however he was still a bit upset about Lisa's remarriage, and not letting Jake see Chance. Jake still has no access to Chance, as Lisa and her new husband Marc keep him away from Chance, as he doesn't need Jake anymore. Chance now has two sisters (one step, one half) and Jake and Kenny have broken up and Jake now feels what he made Lisa feel all those years ago, Jake has finally got his karma.
