Jess Lomax was born in 1987 to Lizzie and Stephan Lomax. Jess was the first child of the Lomax's, soon to be followed by one more. As a child, Jess was educated at her father's school.
At age 24, Jess only realised she was pregnant in her ninth month, despite being very medically correct. Jess gave birth to a baby girl called Beatrice. Unfortunately, Jess had no idea who the father was until he turned up into the village. He promised to take her and Beatrice away to Champs les Sims, not knowing of his actual plans to simply just take Beatrice and leave Jess, Jess packed her things. Beatrice's father was never seen again, leaving Jess distraught and lonelier than ever.
Jess had no idea where Beatrice was, so decided not to press charges. Jess needed something to do, and trained as a junior nurse for three years, she was finally accepted into the hospital. She began treating many patients.
