Kirsten Andrea Straight is a sim who resided in Riverview with her wife, Sally Hustev. They have two adopted children, Tristan and Jeanette. She is the eldest daughter of Rodney and Eileen Straight. She had an excellent relationship with her wife and was Best Friends Forever with Justine Schwarz.

She is the grandmother to Dawn Straight.

Early Childhood

Kirsten was often neglected by her parents as a baby and a toddler. Because of this, she and her siblings were closer to the two babysitters that cared for them, Gregg Neumann and Shelley Gillis.

Childhood

Shortly before Kirsten became a child, both her parents tragically passed away. This caused her to develop a great sense of independence and become a bit of a loner. She and her siblings were placed in custody of her half-sister, June.

Kirsten found it hard to make friends. However, one day she was playing in the park and met a girl by the name of Justine Schwarz. The two quickly forged a lifelong friendship.

Moving to Riverview

June had been dating a woman, Janet, who had to move to Riverview for work. June decided to take a chance and move with her. However, much to Kirsten's excitememt, Justine was also moving since her mother's boyfriend worked with Janet (as did Diego and Candy Ashleydale).

Teen Years

During her teens, Kirsten's life was looking up. Both she and Justine found a new friend in Bex Harlow. While her grades were average, she was still content with the new life she built up in Riverview.

Sexuality

Kirsten always had a feeling she was gay; she never wanted to chase boys around like Justine did. When she started high school, she developed a crush on classmate Ari Moore. However they never dated as she was too shy to act on it. She came out to her sisters, who she knew would accept her with open arms (as June is bisexual and married to a woman).

First Job

Kirsten first worked as a receptionist at the local day spa. With the help of her friends, she came out of her shell and got comfortable interacting with people.

Other Relationships

Towards the end of high school, Kirsten and Sally briefly broke up, during which Kirsten dated Karina Ashleydale (the adoptive daughter of Candy and Diego Ashleydale. However, Kirsten and Sally reconciled and got back together after realizing that they truely love each other.

Early adulthood

Kirsten and Sally married right out of high school and bought a small house together. Kirsten currently works as a Test Subject in the science career.

Adopting

Kirsten and her wife knew they wanted to start a family, despite being a bit young. Although the adoption agency initially hesitated on letting such a young couple adopt, they decided to let them after a good home interview. Kirsten and Sally were now the parents of a baby boy, who they named Tristan Straight.

Later on, Tristan had turned 12. Around this time, Kirsten and Sally gained a reputation for being eternally faithful to each other, due to the strong foundation of their marriage. They decided they were ready to have another child. They then adopted a baby girl, named Jeanette.

Adulthood

As Jeanette aged, her relationship with Kirsten worsened; the two were enemies. She would constantly act out and test Kirsten's patience. Because of this, Kirsten and Sally's marriage began to deteriorate. However, they made a vow to never give up on each other, even when things got hard. The two sought marriage counseling and were able to resolve their issues. But Kirsten's relationship with Jeanette was still horrible.

Tristan moved out and married Starr, so Jeanette was the only child left in the house. As she aged into a teen she began to sneak out more and more.

Elder Years

Jeanette, now 18, moved to La Fiesta Tech to pursue a degree. That was the last time Kirsten would ever see her daughter. Justine had announced her engagement to Duane. At the wedding, it was also discovered that Starr was pregnant! Kirsten and Sally were going to be grandparents! The couple later had a baby girl, named Dawn.

When Dawn was about to turn 2, Kirsten passed away from old age. To her family's surprise, Jeanette showed up to her funeral despite their contentious relationship.

Trivia

• Despite being described as a bit of a loner, Kirsten doesn't have the Loner Trait.
• Kirsten and Sally are eternally faithful to each other.
• Rodney and Eileen don't show up in the family tree as Kirsten's parents, since their Graves weren't in the household when she moved to Riverview.
• I originally intended to have Kirsten end up with her ex-girlfriend, Karina. However, I just couldn't bring myself to break her and Sally up permanently.
• Because her relationship with her parents were wiped, I had to set her relationships with her siblings using NRAAS Master Controller. Due to this, June is recognized as her sister instead of her half-sister.
