Kristen was born to Arty and Daisy Loste, with an older brother named Jonathan. Jonathan left home for a new town when Kristen was a toddler, straining their relationship. Arty died when Kristen was a child, and Daisy carried on as a single mother. Daisy herself died when Kristen moved out. Kristen moved in with squabbling alien twins Chloe and Lola, and a "psychic" named Erin. Erin moved out to live with her brother, leaving Kristen with the twins. Kristen wanted a newer life, so she left Strangetown to live inBelladonna Cove.
Kristen discovered that Jonathan was living in Belladonna Cove, and met him and his wife Opal. She met Opal's brother Magnus and fell in love instantly. Magnus and Kristen recognised their mutual attraction and began dating, and later moved into an apartment together. Magnus proposed and Kristen accepted. They married with only Jonathan and Opal in attendance. Kristen discovered she was pregnant, and she and Magnus excitedly planned for their upcoming new addition.
Disaster strikes when Magnus is hit by lightning on a rainy day. Despite efforts, he was unable to be saved. Kristen was now alone and pregnant. She spent her pregnancy couped up in the corner of her house, too deep in mourning to do anything. She went into labour, and was assisted by two neighbors. Kristen gave birth to a son, and named him Angelo as she considered him to the angel of Magnus as he looks exactly like him. Kristen's love for her baby boy kept her going, and for a new fresh start with Angelo, she moved to a town called Desertia.
Kristen moved into a proper house, and adopted two dogs named Kermit and Marbles (after the dogs of YouTube personality Jenna Marbles). She continued to care for Angelo, who grew to love his mother even when she failed to get him into private school. Kristen began a discount used car dealership, but the business failed and she sold it. She started up a salon, which became slightly more successful but still not successful enough. She began dating Komei Tellerman, but Kristen couldn't move on from Magnus and they broke up.
Kristen's business failed and she became depressed, being a broke single mother with a son she dissapoints all the time. Despite Angelo continuously telling Kristen how much he loves her, and that she isn't a dissapointing mother, she was not convinced. Kristen killed herself by starvation, and a distraught Angelo found her. The dogs were taken to an animal care home, and Angelo was taken into care by a social worker. Things looked up for Angelo when he was adopted by a single wealthy woman named Leila Fuchs, who was the one who bought Kristen's car dealership, but it had been sold and Leila now owns an appliance store.
