Matthew Donald Howe (formerly Jones) is a sim residing in Belladonna Cove. He is the ex-husband of Caryn Jones, and the father Christian Jones. He is the son of Cheryl and Don Howe.

Matthew has his short slicked-back hair, instead of his usual chin-length cut.

Early Life

Matthew Donald Howe was born to his parents Cheryl and Don Howe in Strangetown. Not much is known about Matthew’s early life.

In school, him and a girl named Margaret Howe were often teased by their classmates, having the same last name.

Adulthood

Matthew was just drifting through life. Then one day, he met Caryn Jones. The two began a whirlwind romance, with Caryn proposing after just 4 short months. However, they were very much in love. The two packed up and moved to Belladonna Cove, wanting a change of scenery.

Upon arrival, the two eloped, with Matthew taking his wife’s last name, and embarked on a honeymoon in Takemizu Village. After returning from a fun vacation, Caryn soon discovered she was pregnant. Nine months later, their daughter Cristin was born. Things went well for awhile. Until the couple got two new neighbors, a couple named Mitch and Jeanette Shaw. Matthew and Jeanette soon began an affair. Even after Mitch and Jeanette divorced, her relationship with Matthew continued. A furious Caryn separated from Matthew (who went back to using his birth name). But the couple decided to give their marriage another chance, and Matthew broke things off with Jeanette. For Cristin.

Matthew and Caryn were back together, and things were starting to go well. Having extra income, Matthew quit his job. But that would prove an unwise decision. The two decided to pack up and move to Bluewater Village to start fresh. Things were tight for a short spell after moving into their new house. Matthew soon found work in the political field, although him and Caryn began having issues again. But Matthew stayed in his job, his life. He began to feel like he settled.

Then, infidelity made its way into the marriage again, this time on Caryn's end. By the time Cristin was nearing high school, the two had officially divorced. Matthew moved back to Belladonna Cove and rented a townhouse. Matthew also quickly discovered that his ex-lover, Jeanette, also lived in the same complex. Things were initially awkward, but the two found they still had this mutual attraction that they had when they were both still in their respective marriages. The two soon started seeing each other.

More unexpected things came into Matthew's life. Due to workplace politics, he was ultimately fired from his job as a lobbyist. He soon found himself living with a roommate, Kevin. But Matthew also took this as an opportunity to do something he was passionate about. He soon took a low-paying job as a birthday party mascot. It wasn't the most glamorous job, but it was a stepping stone.

Matthew and Jeanette once again didn't last. He caught her kissing a coworker. Although they didn't go any further, Matthew decided to break up with her.

The next year Matthew moved into a small house downtown. It wasn't long before he met Robin Hollmo and soon began a relationship with her. The two later moved in together. While Cristin was in high school she came out to Matthew after much hesitation. Matthew accepted and still loved his son, who now went by Christian.
