Michael Bachelor is the oldest child of Simis and Jocasta Bachelor, and the older brother of Bella Goth. He is also the wife of Dina Bachelor, and the father of Jason Bachelor and Michael Bachelor Jr. He is the uncle of Cassandra and Alexander Goth.

After Bella's return to Pleasantview, the Goth family was gifted a Genie's lamp from the matchmaker. Bella's first wish was to resurrect her dearly departed older brother, Michael. The first thing Michael did was go and find Dina, who was surprised and delighted to see him. They got remarried and Dina quickly fell pregnant with their first son, Jason. Not long after they had another son, Michael Jr.

After Michael Jr. was born, Michael, Dina and the boys moved out of the Caliente condo into a house of their own. While Dina was pregnant with Jason, the family adopted a cat named Bonkers from the Pet adoption service. They took Bonkers with them to their new house.
