Melanie Christine “Minty” Straight is a sim residing in Starlight Shores with her parents Tristan and Starr, brother Sebastian, and her girlfriend Ann.
Minty holds a degree in fine arts from Sims University.
Minty was born in Riverview to her parents Starr and Tristan, and was the couple’s second child. From an early age she was very close with her older sister Dawn.
In her childhood, Minty displayed the creative streak her journalist mother and musician father both had. She would often draw, and later started learning to play the piano from Dawn. Later her parents ended up having a third child, her younger brother Sebastian.
A few months after Sebastian’s birth, Minty’s mother got a career opportunity that she couldn’t pass up. Minty and the rest of the family reluctantly packed up the family home and relocated to Starlight Shores. After the move, Tristan quit his job to look after the baby and became a stay-at-home dad.
Minty entered high school and began to display impressive musical skills. She rivaled both her sister's and her father's talent on the piano, and through vocal lessons managed to hone a beautiful singing voice.
Minty enrolled at Sims University, pursuing a fine arts degree. It was there she met Ann Conners, and the two quickly fell in love. Minty graduated with an A just like her older sister Dawn, and moved back into the family home with Minty. It wasn't long before she found an entry-level opening in the music career.
