Mona Eleanor Broke (née Hillson), known professionally as Mona Hillson, is a recording artist from Veronaville currently residing in Pleasantview. She is married to Dustin Broke and is the mother of Joey Broke.

Childhood[edit | edit source]

Mona grew up in the quiet valley of Veronaville with her parents. She has no siblings. At the age of nine, she discovered she had a talent for singer, but kept it quiet from her friends. Since that fateful day, Mona always wanted to hit the stage with her dream profession. Due to the rural nature of Veronaville, her parents struggled to find deecent jobs for the next six years. Finally, when Mona was 15, they family moved to a slightly busier Pleasantview.

Life in Pleasantview[edit | edit source]

The Bag Incident[edit | edit source]

On Mona's first day at Pleasantview City School, she accidentally tripped up Dustin Broke with her school bag. The incident resulted in a long-lasting friendship. Mona was always tagged as the "Veronaville girl", but she was savvy and charming enough to get along with anyone.

College Years[edit | edit source]

Mona took the Drama major and graduated Cum Laude. Everyone in her class saw her potential in a future acting career, but nobody knew that she truly wanted to be recording artist. Since Dustin couldn't afford to rent a private residence, he stayed in a dormitory with him. In sophomore year, Dustin asked Mona if she wanted to be his girlfriend, to which she accepted.

Dustin's Burglary Incident[edit | edit source]

In 2016, Dustin was forced to break into the house he and Mona shared. Little did his boss, Gordon King knew, Dustin lived here, and had no idea Mona was in a relationship with him. Dustin was caught red-handed. When Mona demanded to know what he was up to, Dustin explained how he was forced into the criminal underworld through a hoax job. He stated he was doing it for his family. Finally, Mona forgave him, but only because she had plans of her own which she did not share with him.

The Start of Her Career[edit | edit source]

The following morning, Mona headed off to write, record and produce her first single. She and Dustin did not see each other for eight months. Her main song was heard by Dustin many times over the radio, but he turned it off before the artist was announced. Upon hearing the song, Dustin began to feel nostalgic for the college days where he and Mona were together.

Reunion[edit | edit source]

The couple were reunited at a meet-and-greet event at the local entertainment retail shop. Over the eight months, Dustin's appearance had gotten scruffier, and, upon meeting Mona, she did not recognise him. When Dustin revealed his identity, Mona was overjoyed. The two kissed in front of the whole store. Dustin made a little speech outlining how hard it was without her, and proposed, to which she accepted. The reunion was witnessed by everyone in the store, and it received a large amount of applause.

Marriage[edit | edit source]

A few months later, the couple got married. Shortly after, Donnie and Amy also got married, setting off a chain reaction.

Family[edit | edit source]

Due to Dustin's terrible fear of inflicting his family's curse upon his own, he and Mona agreed to have only one child. Dustin was in Pleasantview Military, and he didn't want to leave behind a large family in case something happened to him.

The two had one son; Joseph Samuel "Joey" Broke.
