Nadine Teresa Anderson (née Straight) (formerly Lin-Lothario) is a sim residing in Riverview. She is the youngest daughter of Rodney and Eileen Straight, the half-sister of June Straight, and the sister of Kirsten Straight and Dani O'Neal.

She has one child from her marriage to Tracey, Chad.

Early Childhood[edit | edit source]

Nadine was born in Sunset Valley to parents Rodney and Eileen Straight. They appeared to be a tight-knit family, although both her parents dislike children. Shortly after Nadine was born, her father perished in a freak electrical accident. Shortly after, her mother slipped into a deep depression. She was found dead in the Langerak's pool.

After Parents' Death[edit | edit source]

With no known aunts or uncles, Nadine and her sisters were sent to live their half-sister, June. June had recently gotten married to her husband (at the time), Taylor Baggett, and moved into a house, and took in the kids with open arms.

After Nadine turned 1, June and Taylor divorced, leaving June the task of raising 3 kids alone.

Moving to Riverview[edit | edit source]

An amount of time had passed and Taylor remarried to his mistress, Janet. However, they also had a short-lived marriage. Janet and June reconciled and a friendship began. Soon, things became more than that, and the two were dating. Janet's job transferred her to Riverview. Taking a chance, June took the kids and moved with her.

Teen Years[edit | edit source]

Nadine's teen years started out a bit rocky. She stole her sister, Dani's, boyfriend, Noah from her. For awhile, things were tense between the two sisters. A jealous Dani tried to sabotage their dates. One day, Nadine and Noah stopped at the store. Dani, hiding in the bushes, bribed one of her friends to try and kiss Noah. Nadine discovered he wasn't cheating on her and forgave Noah, but he just couldn't put up with their rivalry anymore. He broke things off. The sisters' relationship began to suffer

As long as Nadine could remember, her dream was to pursue a career in politics. Wanting to gain some wealth and power to help her out in that field, she seduced the wealthy Austin Jones (the son of Aiden and Hannah Jones) with intentions to marry him for his money. However, Austin then discovered her true intentions and broke up with her.

Young Adulthood[edit | edit source]

Nadine finally started pursuing her dream when she got a job in the local government. The pay wasn't that good, but she was enjoying it. While things between her and her sister were still tense, she reluctantly attended her wedding. However, that would be the last day they spoke in awhile.

One day while dropping off some forms at the Highway department, she met Tracey; and it was love at first sight. The two dated, and moved in together shortly after the one-year mark. Shortly after moving into Tracey's apartment, his mother, Roxie, discovered she was pregnant. This came as a shock since Roxie was close to her elder years.

Tracey was planning to propose to Nadine, and took her on a romantic picnic on the beach, where he popped the question. She accepted his proposal. Coincidentally, Tracey's little brother and sister were born that same day. The couple had a simple wedding at a small church. However, Dani was not in attendance.

Adulthood[edit | edit source]

Nadine's husband received a distressing phone call one morning from County Care General Hospital; his mother and step-father had been in a serious car accident and had passed away from their injuries. As per their will, Tracey's siblings were to be placed in the care of their closest living relative. Since their aunt Shirley, had already passed away, Nadine and Tracey were granted joint custody of the twins.

The two moved into the adjacent apartment once inhabited by Tracey's parents, when they hit another snag in their life. Nadine broke the news that she had fallen pregnant. With both of them being under the scrutiny of the public eye, they arrived at the decision to keep and raise the baby. Chad was born 9 months later, although Tracey showed some apprehension. Consequently, Nadine always had a closer bond with their son. While he wasn't very outgoing, he was very bright.

Nadine and Dani were forced to confront each other at their nephew, Tristan's, wedding to Starr. But seeing him grow up into the man standing at the altar, Dani realized life is too short. They sat down for a chat for the first time in years. While things were still tense between them, the two were finally on speaking terms.

Divorce[edit | edit source]

Following her son's birth, Nadine's relationship with her husband had worsened. Tracey never planned on having children; having to raise his brother and sister was already enough responsibility for him. By the time Chad entered grade school, the couple had separated. She and Chad moved into a decent house, which happened to be next-door to her sister, Kirsten. With Chad in school, Nadine finally had enough time to pursue her goal of running for mayor.

A few years later, Kirsten had passed away. For once, the family was able to set aside their differences and mourn a loved one. But that wouldn't last. A couple months after Kirsten's passing, Dani and Nadine's ex-husband, Tracey, wound up in bed together. A guilt-stricken Dani confessed this to Nadine, and revealed that they had WooHooed one time before that. The conversation culminated in an argument, ending with Dani and Nadine becoming enemies once again.

Elder Years[edit | edit source]

After her birthday, Nadine began a fling with a man named Jim Stoddard, but quickly broke it off. It was bad enough that her sister was dating her ex-husband, but when Nadine caught wind of their engagement, she just knew she had to leave town and start anew. She packed up and moved to Hidden Springs with Chad. After they had settled in, Nadine had already managed to make friends, as her political career granted her connections with the Vanderburg family.

And things continued looking up for Nadine. She managed to become Vice President to her friend and colleague, Renauld Vanderburg. She had also begun seeing Ryan Anderson, a younger man. She quickly called things off because she wasn't ready to commit. She also had a fling with Pierce Shawkti. But Nadine continued to advance in her career and soon became Vice President. She and Ryan reconnected and began officially dating. By the time Chad was a senior, the two were married.

Chad got engaged to his longtime boyfriend, Dennis, and he moved into the family home shortly after. Dennis moved back out shortly after when Chad broke off their engagement due to conflicting views on children.

Chad later began dating his high school friend Emmit while Nadine and Ryan worked hard at their respective careers. Chad eventually moved out of the family home and got engaged to Emmit. The two married the following year. Good news came after their wedding: Ryan had gotten a promotion at work. Nadine had also accomplished something, a goal she'd been trying her whole adult life to achieve: she had finally become leader of the free world. The president.

After Nadine had finally become the Leader of the Free World, she later received news from her nephew Tristan that her sister Dani had passed away. Nadine never returned back to Riverview for her funeral; the two hadn't spoken in years by that point.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Nadine is the only one of her immediate siblings to have black hair, although neither of her parents have black hair. This is could be due to the first-born effect, as Nadine was raised by her half-sister, June. While it could be from recessive genetics or inherited from a previous generation, it is unlikely since Nadine has no known grandparents.
  • When Nadine moved to Riverview, her siblings originally had no family relation, as their parents graves weren't taken with them. I had to reset their relationships using NRAS Master Controller. Due to this, June is recognized as Nadine's sister, instead of her half-sister.
    • Similarly, Nadine's parents aren't shown on the family tree.
  • Nadine is the only one out of her siblings to have the Evil trait.
  • So far, Nadine is the only member of the Straight family who has successfully completed their lifetime wish.
