Rusty Grunt is a playable resident in my player stories in The Sims 2 in Strangetown. He is the son of General Buzz and Erin Beaker, the younger half-brother of Tank, Ripp, and Buck Grunt, the nephew of Loki and Circe Beaker, and the younger cousin of Xanton Beaker. Rusty is 33 days from being an Adult.

In my player stories Buzz and his new wife Erin decided to have a child together as a follow up to their successful marriage. Buzz had already had three sons to his previous Marriage to his ex-wife the late Lyla Grunt. After three sons, even Buzz wouldn't have minded having a daughter. But no, his fourth child turned out to be yet another son whom they named Rusty. He has inherited his father's hair colour, ears and eyes, and his mother's eyebrows, eye colour, nose, mouth and jaw.

Rusty is often considered to be a three way combination of his elder half-brothers. He was neither as domineering and tough as Tank, nor as lazy or romance oriented as Ripp, nor as studious and thoughtful as Buck. A three way mix of his elder half-brothers makes a good start for a new Sim. Rusty is an A+ Student at Private school along with his older brothers, and is employed in the Culinary career. His lifelong dream is to be a five star chef. Rusty is romantically involved with Dakota Curious, the alien-hybrid daughter of Vidcund Curious, despite the former prejudice that Tank and Buzz had towards Aliens and scientists.

Trivia

• Rusty's facial structure is very similar to that of his older half-brother Ripp. This is partly due to Ripp and Erin having similar facial features even though the two aren't biologically related. Ripp's facial features are also not so different from those of their father, even though Ripp, unlike Rusty, lacks any of his father's facial features.
• Rusty has a hairstyle that can only be accessed in CAS debugging mode. There is another hairstyle that very similar but they are not identical. I chose one of the Nightlife Toddler hats for Rusty when he became a toddler, so that he would get the hidden 'Gibs' hairstyle when he became a Child.
• Rusty would be a rather easy choice to strike up a lengthy conversation with, because he doesn't seem to have a particularly low interest in anything, apart from entertainment, and toys.
• He is the only one of Buzz's sons who isn't confirmed to be sexually attracted to Jill Smith.
