The Harper Household[edit | edit source]

Corbin as a teen

Well, it looks like I am still around. I don't know if I am entirely happy about that because there are some changes that seem to be happening now that are completely out of my control. The first thing is that Jared has decided that I should no longer be the manager of the hardware store. Something about not being as efficient as I used to be. As if that is even true. He is making the store so much larger that it isn't possible for me to manage it any more, but I am actually ok with that because then I can focus on other aspects. There is another thing that I completely disagree with, but I have been overruled by others in the community, but you will have to read it in another report because I refuse to even mention it. I can barely even think right now because of it, so I am ending my report here.

The Carpenter Household[edit | edit source]

There hasn't really been that much that has happen for us this past season. We haven't had any birthdays. The Rec Center is really starting to take shape. I am quite impress with how it is coming along. It still has a while before it will reach the level that I am hoping that it will get to, but it is getting there. The Hardware Store is in need of some focus and revamping soon, so I think that will be my focus for this next Fall.

I see that Tyler didn't let you know what change to the community he eventually had to agree to. I will let Nick tell you about it because that is really his report, but I have to admit that we do have to change the way things have been going on around here because things are no longer the same as they used to be. I know that George and Jacob are better off for this change as well. In fact, I believe all of the kids are better off.

The Fisher Household[edit | edit source]

Andrew as a young adult
Thomas as a young adult
Ed as a young adult
Caleb as a teen

I guess I have a lot to report. First is that all three of my boys have had their birthdays. Andrew and Thomas are now young adults and Caleb is now a teen. They sure do grow up fast. Andrew and Thomas are excited that they don't have to go to school anymore. I know that Caleb is hoping that he can get out of it as well, but I told him that he has to wait until his next birthday. That is unless he wants to help run the businesses instead. Caleb quickly went to his studies, so I guess that is his answer.

As far as the business go, I have been focusing on teaching Andrew all of the trade secrets as well as the ropes of running because I know that there will come a time when he will need to take over for me. I tried to get Thomas interested as well, but he just seems to only want to party all the time. The few times that I can get him to focus, he does well but that is too rare of an occurrence. So needless to say, the businesses haven't really grown that much this last quarter. They haven't lost growth, so I guess that is a good thing. I hope that with more full time help around, I can really start to pick up some more growth soon.

In fact, you might also notice that I have another young adult in the household. Andrew got engaged to Ed. I am sure that is what Tyler was referring to when he said that he wasn't too happy about something that has happened this season. Ed had told his dam and sire, Lance and Jason, as well as his grandsire, Tyler who is the only one of the original 8 who is still alive, that he wanted to be engaged to Andrew. Both Lance and Jason were complacent about the request just like Drew and I were for Andrew being his sire and dam. Tyler was the only one who expressed his dislike of the idea to limit oneself to one individual. The reason that Ed and Andrew gave that they should was that everyone were either brothers or cousins except for one person anyway, so it wouldn't really be limiting to one person if there wasn't anyone else. Tyler was quick to point out that Ed and Thomas weren't related either. Thomas said that he was quite happy not have any children, which made Tyler upset even more because he couldn't imagine not wanting to procreate. Tyler decided that since this would eventually affect everyone in the community that it should be put to a community wide vote. When everyone else in the community voted, it was unanimous that families should be conducted with this sort of commitment. Tyler then conceded his disapproval largely because he was out-voted.

And if that wasn't enough to get excited about, Ed is pregnant with who will be the first child of the 4th generation. So I am guessing that I won't really be able to rely on Ed doing some help with the businesses as much due to having children, but at least that will mean that Andrew will be able to focus more so that I was able to when I was having children. Maybe that will mean that we can grow and expand enough so that we aren't the poorest family in the community.

The Baker Household[edit | edit source]

Anthony as a young adult
Lawrence as a young adult

I can't believe how fast the boys have grown up. Soon they will be off starting their own families. And speaking of which, it seems that Brad is the only one who isn't a cousin for both Anthony and Lawrence. Anthony told Lawrence that he wasn't really into having a family anyway, so he could be with Brad. I know that Tyler isn't too trilled about his grandsons "limiting" themselves to one person, but I think that when Brad becomes old enough that he can make that decision for himself. At the moment, Brad has asked Lawrence to "go steady". I'm not sure what that means, but these kids seem to be making up words for things that my generation never had to worry about. I don't know where they come up with these terms, but if it works for them I'm not going to stop them.

The business side of things seems to have been on a halt mainly because I have been focusing on making sure that Lawrence knows the trade secrets since it seems that he will be the one to continue the family line. Maybe I can also encourage him to take up cooking as well. I guess we will have to see about that.

In other news, both Zack and I have been able to get jobs from the other businesses. I am a rookie on the newly formed sports team, and Zack is working as a convenience store clerk. The team is pretty small right now with only a couple of players, but we are hoping that it will grow and that we can make it a favorite pass-time for everyone else who isn't on the team. Zack doesn't mind where he is at. In fact, he likes that he doesn't really have to think that much and gets to handle a lot of simoleons.

The Potter Household[edit | edit source]

Kevin as a young adult
Franklin as a teen
Sebastian as a teen wizard

So I guess I should start with the birthdays that we had this past season. Kevin is now a young adult. It is hard to believe that he is now at the age that I remember being at not too long ago myself. Kevin hasn't decided if he wants to get into the family business yet. In fact, he hasn't decided who he wants to continue his family with. I know that he wants to, but I suspect that he is hesitant to try with almost everyone being his cousin. The twins also had their birthday and are now teens. They sure do grow up fast. It looks like I have another son who has decided to get his hands into the whole magic nonsense. I'm not sure it is any better, but Sebastian has decided to follow the ways of light rather than the path of darkness like Adam did.

Since the boys are now growing up, I have been able to focus on the businesses more so. At the moment, I don't have any who are learning the trades or the family secrets, but I hope that I will eventually. I have been able to get Kevin to help out a little, so maybe I can convince him to take over. I suspect that it will be a while before I am successful in doing so because it seems that the idea hasn't even been something that any of the boys thought of. I guess I will just have to leave hints here and there very subtly so that they won't run off from the idea of eventually taking over.

Of course, I can't entirely put fault on any of them because I haven't really been focusing on the family business much myself lately. Jason has been doing some things to help out here and there, but I did accept the role from Kyle after he passed away. There are still several things that he had left me to learn at the wheel that I never did learn myself. So I guess I better do that before I expect any of my boys to take up the trade. I just would rather do other things than standing at the wheel and holding clay as it spins. Things like going for a jog might be fun.

The other reason that I haven't been focusing on the family trade much is because I have decided to get into the music business. I am currently the coffee shop sound engineer. Jason has joined the sports team and is a minor leaguer. I find that rather interesting as it isn't that large of a league anyway, so I guess it isn't anything but a minor league.

The Gardener Household[edit | edit source]

Patrick as a young adult

There have been a few things that have happened this quarter, but I don't really want to write that much. First thing is that Patrick had his birthday. Noah is just shy of his, but he is really looking forward to it. So much in fact that he has already asked Dustin to be his "one". I have a feeling that means that Noah will be leaving our home to join with Dustin's. I had a feeling that would happen when he didn't start showing any leaves like Patrick and I did. The last thing that happened this quarter that is of any importance is that I decided to buy one of the ground floor businesses that Tyler build to be a part of an apartment complex. I plan to make it solely for the selling of fresh produce. The other store was getting too general for all things plants.

The Taylor Household[edit | edit source]

Joe as a teen
Jesse as a teen
Nicholas as a teen

Well, I guess you have noticed that Ed has joined the Fisher family and is no longer in our household. It also means that he will probably not be taking over the family businesses. That means that Joe is the next in line. Now that he is finally a teen, I can start training him to be able to handle it when it comes time for him to take over. I'm sure that he will be more excited about it than Ed was. I sometimes wonder if that isn't the reason that Ed was so happy to join the Fisher family, so that he wouldn't have to take over the household. Probably isn't, but one can't help but wonder.

I must say that is feels a little weird to not have any little guys running around anymore now that Joe, Jesse, and Nicholas are now teens. It will be exciting to see what they will do as they get older. As I mentioned above, I will start grooming Joe to run the household. That means that the businesses will have more focus in the coming seasons. It is actually a good thing because they have been falling behind somewhat as of late. I feel somewhat bad about that because I haven't been making my dam's dream of having the type of business he wanted come true, but that will change soon.

As for what has been happening with Timothy and myself this past season, we have also taken on work. I am working as a Piano Tuner, and Timothy is working as a Drive Through Clerk. I know that they don't seem to have much to do with working the clothes, but it is towards something that we have both wanted to do. I have always wanted to be a music star, and Timothy has always wanted to be a top chef. I don't know if we will ever be able to with it being so late in our adulthood, but it is still worth pursuing. And if I am able to really teach Joe everything I know so that he can take over, then I can really focus on doing that while he takes care of the family obligations. I actually like that idea. I guess I have something to really work for these next few seasons. Maybe I can convince Timothy to help me so that it can happen faster. It would be in his interest too.

The Plummer Household[edit | edit source]

Dustin as a young adult

Dustin is very excited to finally become an adult. He can't wait until Noah does as well so that the two of them can also be engaged just like Ed and Andrew. I have also been able to teach Dustin some more business trades. I have no doubt that he will be able to take over the family business when the time comes.

And speaking of the family business, I have decided to buy another lot from Tyler to further expand it. I will now be able to provide the community with some upgraded showers that are actually quite nice. I am sure that my dam would be very proud of how things have been coming along. I know that I am.
