New Year, New Generation[edit | edit source]

The Harper Household[edit | edit source]

David as an adult

It is really exciting to see all of our boys having their adult birthday. In fact, David just had his. I have to say that I am kind of excited to see the Harper name continue on. David has his eye on three of the neighborhood boys, but they haven't had their birthdays yet which means no babies quite yet for David. Although, it might be possible that David has sired a baby. It is really just a rumor at the moment, but I have a feeling that I will know shortly for sure.

I guess I am a little excited about the next generation to come is because the family is doing quite well. I have a real estate Business that is taking off, and so is my art business. I think I might use one of my undeveloped lots for a separate place for my fine arts to be displaced and sold next season. I know that David (and even Jim) will be able to handle the multiple business after I am gone, but I doubt that will be for a long while because I plan on being around for a very long time.

The Carpenter Household[edit | edit source]

Alex as an adult
Drew as an adult

What a summer it has been. My twins have had yet another birthday and are now adults much like I was about two years ago, the Rec Center promoted Chris to be a manager, and the Carpentry is starting to pick up a little as well because I am able to focus on it more now. It is so hard to believe that two years ago there was basically nothing here and now there are several businesses and about triple the number of the Original 8. We have really done well for ourselves if I may say so.

Alex has his eyes on a couple of the boys in the neighborhood, but Drew has already given me grandsons. That's right, grandsons. He sired twins with Nick. I haven't met them myself, but I am sure that they are just as cute as can be. I must admit that I am a little sad that I won't be able to raise them - I mean help raise them. I'm sure that there will be grandsons that will be under the care of the Carpenter family. That's the understanding that we have in order to make sure that each family name continues on. I just can't get over the fact that there is another generation coming into the works.

As I mentioned earlier, the Rec Center has a manager, which means that it is getting busier to handle just by myself - especially with the fact that I am running the Carpentry as well. I had been relying on the boys to help out. But with them having children in the very near future, I had to make sure that I could manage without their involvement being mandatory. Of course, if they want to put some time in here and there, I won't argue. It would be free labor after all, and who can argue with that?

The Fisher Household[edit | edit source]

Nick as an adult
Andrew as a baby
Thomas as a baby

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!! I knew I would have to have a baby in the house again, but I was hoping that I wouldn't have to be alive to see the little bugger. Now not only do I have to live with a baby again, I have to live with TWO! All because one of the Carpenter twins had to get my son pregnant. I guess it only makes sense that a twin would sire twins. Still doesn't mean that I am happy about it. I mean, why couldn't they have waited until after I died? Would that have been too much to ask? I really didn't want to have to be around babies again. I guess that just means that Nick will have to tend to their every needs while still keeping up with his fishing.

And with regards to the Meat Market, I guess it is doing alright. It just needs to do a whole lot better. We are at the bottom of the wealth ladder for the entire community. I can't stand it any more! Of course, it's because of all the stealing that has been done against me in the past that has put my name so low on the ladder. I have learned my lesson and will not allow that to happen again. I am going to bring us back up where we should be. With Nick's help, of course. Just because he has two little rug-rats now doesn't mean that I will let him off the hook. In fact, they had better grow up fast and help around to full their weight around here because I will not be the poorest in the community if it is the last thing that I do.

If you can't tell, I am VERY angry. I'm just angry at everything. First, I find myself in this Sim forsaken swampland. Then I have to do all of the fishing just so that everyone has food, which I do out of the cluelessness of my own heart. Well actually, I was doing good to start with because everyone needed meat, but then we had to pay taxes to Tyler so that we could have land to use to grow. And if that wasn't bad enough to have simoleons taken from me, some kid steals from me. But that is supposed to be ok because the kid was caught and I was given some simoleons back to replace what was taken. I still don't know who it was that took my stuff! Then I also find out that I am being cheated out of even more simoleons with a double tax for no reason. I don't know how long that had been happening, but I bet you that it had been for a long time. It could have even been since the night of the robbery. And I have not gotten any of those simoleons back even though Tyler admits it was a mistake. He mumbled something about it being impossible to know exactly how much, so he would offer to just stop the tax all together because it wasn't needed anymore. To top it all off, I can only fish three-quarters of the year because the lake freezes over every winter! I'd like to see how the others would do if they were only able to work three-quarters of the year like I can. I doubt that they would be doing as well.

The Baker Household[edit | edit source]

Anthony as a baby
Lawrence as a baby

Well, I must say someone has really lost his head. I guess you can tell that he used to be a redhead. True, I was too, but I am not that hotheaded. I mean, we all knew that our sons would be having sons of their own now. True, having twins is a huge surprise, but it can happen to any of us. In fact, it happened to Connor a day before Nick had his twins. I think it is even more of a surprise because unlike Drew, Eric sired them and is not a twin. I don't think that just because a sire is a twin means that you will give birth to twins.

Also, Nick is my son, too. So I guess that Andrew and Thomas are my grandsons as well. Hmm... two sets of twins for my grandsons. You don't think that the twin effect is from me somehow. Now that's an interesting thought. I actually doubt it because I didn't have twins myself. Still, it makes you wonder if it is a connection or just shear coincidence, don't it?

In any case, I am happy to welcome Anthony and Lawrence into the Baker clan. They are both beautiful babies. Anthony might be a little on the light side for a Baker, but I guess that just means he came out of the oven faster than Lawrence. Makes sense to me.

And speaking if baking, my two sons have started taking a little dab into developing their cooking skills. It will be nice to be able to pass on some of the recipes that I have learned. Probably a good thing because this community wouldn't really fair too well if they only have the very basic meals. A growing body needs the best food there is to offer. And I am hoping that I can grow the bakery so that I can split it to build a convenience store. That way we don't have to worry about sitting people down for meals as well as having others just come in for meals.

The Potter Household[edit | edit source]

Martin as an adult
Jason as an adult

I have to say that it is nice to see the Ceramic Store to grow into a pretty solid business. It is nice to know that pottery is becoming something of a commodity for the neighborhood. I guess it helps that I have developed my pottery skill to be far more than just plates. A vase, tea set, pitcher, and pot make for some really nice variety. I have even learned to make a very nice (and large jug). With all of this interest, I have hired Mike as a manager to help run things. Martin and Jason seem like they will be able to take over when the time comes.

I have also noticed that they are both really taking some practice at the wheel. At the moment, they can only make the plates, tea set, and vase. They are far from learning everything that I know, but I am sure that in time that they will. In fact, I think that they will probably become better than I am. Well, I have no doubt about Martin. Jason, on the other hand, might only be doing it to compete with his older brother. If he ever loses interest and focuses on something else, that is probably where he will stop because pottery isn't of too much interest to him.

And speaking of my boys, they have both had a birthday. They are very handsome young men now. Also, Martin in very pregnant at the moment. I expected him to give birth before this report, but it seems that he isn't quite there yet. As much as I am trilled that I will be having a grandson, I am a little worried if Martin gives birth to twins. Sure seems like there have been a lot of twins going around. Which reminds me that even if we only have one kid, we will need to have an extension to the room. I can't believe that I didn't -- WHAT!

Oh boy! I think Martin is giving birth right now! Gotta go!

The Gardener Household[edit | edit source]

Patrick as a baby

Well, the next generation of Gardeners have arrived. I think Patrick is a cute little baby even if he isn't green. Of course, I didn't start out green, so it is possible that he will someday. Hmm... maybe not because Eric didn't. He sure does have a green thumb. I hope that Patrick will just like his dam. Something tells me that without him to carry on the Gardener name, there won't be much of a continuation of gardening in this neighborhood. True, it is possible that Jared might give birth to another son, but it is also possible that he might not. And speaking of Jared's sons, you have already met his twins that Connor gave birth to. I just can't believe that they were all born on the same day. Actually, it seems that we had several births on the same day. Kind of makes it hard to know who is the oldest. True, that did happen with Eric, Connor, and Jared as well, so I guess it really doesn't matter much.

The Taylor Household[edit | edit source]

Lance as an adult

I don't have any babies to report because my boys aren't old enough to have had kids this season, but Lance is very pregnant with his first. He is due tomorrow actually. We have been thinking about what name we will give the baby, but Lance is determined that it will come to him after he gives birth and not a moment before. He can be a little firm like that at times, but he is still a good kid.

The business is coming along. I think that we are all learning more about running a business more each day. I think I am sort of getting a handle on stocking. I know that the boys are learning as well. That is actually a good thing to because you never know how long it will be before they have to take over for me. Not that I am planning on dying anytime soon, but it might be nice to just retire a little and let them take over.

The Plummer Household[edit | edit source]

Dustin as a baby

It is so hard to believe that just 2 years ago there was only 8 of us who had no clue what happened, but somehow we managed to make things work. Now we have the beginnings of the third generation. I honestly don't know what to say. With everything that has happened, I guess I am ok with the fact that the Original 8 will be giving control to our sons and grandsons to carry on the work. That doesn't mean that I want to stop by any means.

I have actually enjoyed building up the plumbing business to where it is now. To think of all of the improvements that we have made is actually quite exciting. I would love to see it become a grand empire of a business, but I realize that will have to be a dream fulfilled by either my son or grandson after I pass. Yes, Jared gave birth to a boy to carry on the Plummer name. I guess that is exciting when you think about it.
