Wanda Dortheimer is a member of the 17th generation of the rich and powerful Dortheimer legacy. Despite not being evil, she is by far the most destructive Sim in the family, primarily due to her Insanity. Her story and character is slightly inspired by Starmoonie's Nova Watson

Childhood[edit | edit source]

Wanda was born in a Tudor mansion in Sunset Valley to the scientist Etoiline Dortheimer and the unemployed Laurent Opalsen. She was a really bright child, who particularly loved chemistry, but it was hard to miss the flicker of crazy behind her eyes.

Her mother was rather careless about her: Etoiline was obsessed with her work and focused on her social status and her place in the laboratory's hierarchy. Her father however was nice and had a lot of time to spend with her daughter. But he mysteriously died due to an electric shock.

She also lived with her aunt, Sylviane, a incredibly powerful business mogul feared by the entire financial world. She got along well with her, but Sylviane's schedule did not allow her to spend much time with her niece.

At school, she was a pure genius and was the best in her class. She had no friends at school, however, since the others were jealous of her brightness and they also found Wanda a little... weird.

Teenage Years[edit | edit source]

When she became a teen, Wanda became even more crazy than before. She changed her room into a huge and well furnished laboratory and she led some strange experiments in here. She particularly loved electricity and her knowledge on the subject exceeded that of the leading experts. Wanda also enjoyed a lot mixing dangerous reagents together just to find out what would happen.

She finally delved into the depths of utter lunacy when at school, she blended Woohooium with Tiberium for fun. This resulted in the explosion of the school that killed 5 students and 2 teachers. Wanda was unscathed, though, with the exception of a few burnings. Psychiatrists immediately realized that Wanda was a real nutcase and a dangerous threat to society, and she was immediately confined in the local lunatic asylum.

She was outraged that she, the great Genius Wanda, had been sealed in this dusty and ridiculous place for one of her "most successful experiments" and she remained the for some years until she was considered sane anew by experts. However, the said experts had been fooled by Wanda who was not cured at all...

Adulthood[edit | edit source]

She returned home and secretely continued her electrical experiments. She found a husband in another scientist, Eugène Laiguille-Majeur (this one was sane however). During her stay at the asylum, she began to think that she was unkillable and immune to any wounds (first, she survived to the grim explosion at her school, and her lack of common sense finished the job). She also had the delusional wish of building her own rocket to go in space, and started working on the motor...

Another of her pastime was inventing: her natural physical and chemical knowledge allowed her to master the skill at lightning speed. She even build a Time Machine. When travelling in some places, she unknowingly caused chaos: for example, she visited the great town of Atlantis and told it's dwellers about her rocket and it's future fuel. When she went away, the Atlantis inhabitants tried to create the dihydrogen fuel, but they didn't know about the dangerosity of the said substance and a huge explosion sank their city into the depths of the ocean.

Over time, Wanda's tampering became more and more hazardous, and she used many explosive items, even outranking the already really dangerous dihydrogen. She was incredibly lucky all the time, as no major detonation occurred. Sylviane and Etoiline however were not serene as, despite not explicitely knowing about Wanda's threatening activities, they suspected that something was going wrong when Wanda disappeared most of the day in her room and when hearing some scary noises from time to time.

And then another tragedy occurred: one day, Wanda's machine produced an enormous electrical shock that spread all over the house via the metallic objects and the plumbing, electrocuting Etoiline and Sylviane to death: Sylviane was in her shower and Etoiline was repairing the dishwasher.

Wanda had to hide, as police sure would be looking for her after such an event. And she hid in the science lab during the day, and continued once again her experiment during the night.

One night, she went in the future with her husband (who knew where Wanda hid, but didn't tell the police about it to protect her), and shortly after their return, a young adult daughter got out of the time machine, Ozalée.

One night, Ozalée, (who was born two centuries later being from the future), told her father for entertainment the tale of the end of the town that exploded some time before her birth. Eugène was at first rather careless but when he realized that Wanda already cause chaos earlier, he panicked and rushed to Wanda with Ozalée.

When they arrived at the science lab, Wanda, who had lost any kind of sanity for a long time, was about to test her rocket's fuel by mixing dithyrambic amounts of Dihydrogen and oxygen, without any second thought about the extreme explosiveness of the medley. Eugène and Ozalée tried to stop her by warning her, but she laughed maniacally and told them that she didn't care and that she would survive as the Great Wanda, the master of Chemicals and Physics, couldn't die at all.

Seeing the hopelessness of the situation, Eugène ordered his daughter to get to safety, by running far, far, far away. He said he would try to restrain his wife enough time to let Ozalée get out of town using the time machine. She at first did not want to go without him and letting the innocent Sunst Valley inhabitants die in the burst, but seeing he wouldn't change his mind and that she couldn't do anything for the other Sims from the neighborhood, she ran to the time machine, carried away her grandmother's and her great-aunt's urns which were right next to the device, and jumped to the future just in time.

When she came back, there was nothing left from the once peaceful Sunset Valley but smonking ruins and wreckage. Wanda and Eugène both had died in the explosion, pretty much like the other dwellers. Horrified and saddened, Ozalée got away from the utterly obliterated township and fled to Moonlight Falls.
