FoodForge Cuisine Synthesizer (or Food Synthesizer for short) is an appliance object in The Sims 3: Into the Future. Using it builds the advanced technology skill.

It allows Sims to produce any type of chosen meal without preparation or cooking skill, as well as get rid of full and empty dishes. It also functions as a trash can. If the sim does not have high enough advanced technology skill, the machine may sometimes squirt over the Sim and create the chosen meal in bad quality.

Sims with high levels of advanced technology skill can program it to include new recipes, as well as improve the quality level of all meals. However, these functions are only available in lots your Sims own, with the exception of the base camp.

Because of its multi-inclusive functions, it renders most of the kitchen appliance obsolete.[1]

Cafeteria[edit | edit source]

If the food synthesizer is present in any type of community lot, it will spawn a waiter or waitress (or even more; depending on the number of seating) that serve food to seated Sims.

By clicking on a waiter or dining table, the player can make an order. This will seat a Sim and have them wait for their food. The player can choose between either a regular meal (with the type that reflects the time of the day), quick meal or dessert. [2][3]

Notes[edit | edit source]

  1. Vampires do not autonomously synthesize a plasma juice pack, therefore it would be best to supplement household with said member with a normal refrigerator as well.
  2. Due to an oversight by developers, the selection of free quick meals from the waiter's interaction menu will display their price tags.
  3. Using the "Order Favorite Meal" does charge the Sim, while selecting from the other order interactions do not.
