Pack Leader[edit source]

I notice the Pack Leader we get in Pets isn't listed on the list anywhere. Do we have any idea if he is safe or not? —Preceding unsigned comment added by QueenCeline (talkcontribs) 06:15, December 25, 2014‎ (UTC) - Please sign your comments with ~~~~

If I recall correctly, the pack leader is safe to be added to the family, but they will simply turn into a regular dog once they become playable. Nikel Talk Vote! 11:31, December 25, 2014 (UTC)

Big Bosses[edit source]

Although the Big Boss NPC concept was removed prior to the game's release, these types of NPCs still show up whenever a Sim calls in sick, and occasionally they show up on community lots. They don't seem harmful, although like Headmasters, their plumbbobs are always inside their bodies, rather than above their heads. Other than that, they look like regular townies. I know that the main purpose of the Big Boss NPC was removed prior to release, and I know that the Big Boss NPC is already listed in this guide. But the fact remains that the game still generates Sims that are of this type of NPC whenever Sims call in sick, and those sims also occasionally show up on community lots. I'm not sure whether the Big Bosses that the game generates are safe to play as or not. I only just found out about the existence of these Sims that the game was known to generate. I thought they were just a type of NPC that was removed prior to release, so naturally I didn't realise that the game was still known to generate them. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 10:33, July 1, 2016 (UTC)

The useless NPC the game generates when calling in sick is believed by many to be the remnants of the Big Boss NPC. However, this NPC has no use in-game aside from answering the phone, and when your Sim calls in sick again, the game will simply generate a new NPC instead of reusing the ones it created. Pescado's phone hack fixes this bug by preventing the game from generating the useless NPC when calling in sick, since it serves no useful purpose and only succeeds in bringing the neighborhood it is in closer to a BFBVFS. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 13:42, July 1, 2016 (UTC)
Yes, but is it known whether or not they are safe to be made playable? ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 21:12, July 1, 2016 (UTC)
No, but it may be best to play it safe. Do they have "real" names? —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 21:50, July 1, 2016 (UTC)
They have real names and they look just like normal townies even though they are NPCs. But if they are made selectable, their plumbbobs will be inside them, instead of above their heads, just like the headmasters, exterminators, and repairmen. They won't have any skills or careers, and they will always have five points in all areas of their personality. Aside from asking your Sims if they want to take a day off when calling in sick, they may occasionally show up on community lots. So other than that, they don't show up in person, so while it's possible for them to be interacted with, and made playable, it is a rare occurrence for them to appear on community lots. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 23:18, July 1, 2016 (UTC)
