Geoff Rutherford is a pre-made playable Sim, residing in Belladonna Cove, the neighborhood shipped with The Sims 2: Apartment Life. He is the son of the late Kenneth and Leandra Rutherford, and the much younger brother of Marissa Cleveland (née Rutherford), therefore being the uncle of Justin Cleveland. Geoff has the Romance aspiration and resides in 340 Audrey Avenue with his roommate Connor Weir. When the household is first played, he is 28 days from being an elder. He is voiced by Stephen Kearin.

Strangely, Geoff considers Armand DeBateau to be his best friend, though the relationship is not mutual, as Armand does not know who Geoff is. This is probably a mistake from the developers. Also, his mother's family tree contains a lot of bugs. Geoff Rutherford shares some similarities with Pleasantview's Daniel Pleasant. Both have the same zodiac sign, personality and aspiration, and there are some similarities between their appearances and clothing.

It is known that Geoff's parents had him very late in their lives, since Marissa was a teen when he was born. Strangely, both his parent's memories indicate that Geoff was born before Marissa, while Marissa has the memory of Geoff's birth, which clearly implies that she is supposed to be the older sibling. This is further supported, as Marissa is much older than Geoff in-game, and Geoff having the memory of learning to walk from Marissa, though Marissa does not have it.
