Goopy GilsCarbo (also known as Goopi Gilscarbo in The Sims 2 on consoles) is a pre-made townie. Like most townies in The Sims 2, his skills, career and relationships with other townies are usually randomized at the start of the game. He wears an outfit consisting of a cowboy shirt and plaid shorts.

Life leading up to The Sims 3[edit | edit source]

Goopy also makes a comeback in Monte Vista from The Sims 3 Store as a toddler. His parents are Eduardo and Carlotta and they reside at 8 Via Veronaville.

Life leading up to The Sims 2[edit | edit source]

Goopy shows up in Pleasantview, and every custom neighborhood the player creates. He's a Romance Sim and his zodiac sign is Libra. If Open For Business is installed, he will often appear in the hiring pool for Sims who own a business.

He shares his surname with Suzie and Jasmine GilsCarbo from Four Corners in The Sims Life Stories.

He has the same facial structure as the 17th Face Template.

Life leading up to The Sims 2 (Console)[edit | edit source]

In The Sims 2 for console, Goopi is a Sim residing in Tranquility Falls, an Asian fusion house with the other quirky roommates Larry Liu, Candi Cupp and Chantal Leer. He is still wearing the cowboy shirt and plaid shorts. In this version, he is a Knowledge Sim and a Cancer.

  • The description for the Legendary Bedscalibur by Dulac Industries touts the bed's strength by saying "Feel free to eat any amount of Goopy Carbonara before snuggling down." "Goopy Carbonara" was included as a food in The Sims 3. It is presumed that the game designers named it after him.
  • Goopy shares his name with two Barnacle Bay Sims, Alice and Celeste GilsCarbo. His relationship to them, if any, is unknown. A possible explanation may be found in Celeste's bio, which states that she likes cowboy and plaid themed things, implying that Celeste could be Goopy's daughter. Alice's bio also states that she kept the last name of her ex-husband. This might imply that Alice and Goopy married and had Celeste, but divorced afterwards.
  • Goopy's name is mix of two people who helped in creating The Sims 2, Goopy Rossi and Gabe GilsCarbo.
  • He, alongside Bella Goth from Strangetown, is among the most well known townies to appear in The Sims 2.
  • Goopy was credited as the director of a The Sims 4 Easter egg video.[1]
  • In Discover University, one of the elective classes called 'Beyond Cooking Goopy Carbonara' refers to the dish 'Goopy Carbonara' from The Sims 3, which is presumably named after him.
