Mayor Honest Jackson is the leader of Strangetown in The Sims 2 for Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance. His secret is that he likes writing romance novels, but doesn't tell anyone. Mayor Jackson strongly disapproves of Frankie Fusilli due to his gangster ways; otherwise, he's known to really care for the citizens of Strangetown.

The Sims 2 (DS)[edit | edit source]

Mayor Honest Jackson is the mayor of Strangetown in The Sims 2 (Nintendo DS). He will help the player through the first part of the game. Frankie Fusilli does not like him and will make the player give him a gift that sets his office on fire (which the player will have to put out, of course).

His secret is that he has an idea for a romance novel set in ancient Egypt (and has written 7 pages).

The Sims 2 (GBA)[edit | edit source]

In the Sims 2 (GBA), Mayor Honest Jackson plays major and minor roles in a handful of episodes.

During the first episode, "It All Begins," he will show up at Dusty Hogg's welcoming party for the player, realizes that the party was NOT the recycling referendum, and immediately run out to vote on a recycling bill. If talked to before, he will talk about how recycling is a HOT topic in Strangetown and that he has an important meeting that he is already late for. There is an episode later on where he discusses a toilet paper recycling bill, and another episode after that where he mentions how terribly the proposal of said bill went.

In "A Brand New Scent," Honest Jackson is one of the men enchanted by Kayleigh Wintercrest's perfume and will make the player knock out his competitors, Sancho Paco Panza, Auda Sherif, Tristan Legend, and Emperor Xizzle. Once the player gets rid of them, he will ask the player to go get Kayleigh for him.

He informs the player of Penelope Redd's kidnapping in "There was this Mummy."

He also sent the player on a series of quests in "Triassic Trouble." After digging up all the bones in Jebediah S. Jerky's farm for Frankie Fusilli, Mayor Honest Jackson will catch the player and demand that they hand the bones over to the city. Once the player does and goes to talk to Frankie, Jimmy "The" Neck will inform the player that Honest Jackson wants them, but he doesn't remember why. As it turns out, he had been trying to program Optimum Alfred to transport the bones to Miniopolis, but had accidentally put them up for auction instead. The player will have to go and talk to Mamma Hogg, Ava Cadavra, Misty Waters, Bigfoot, and Kayleigh Wintercrest and recover each part of the dinosaur and return it to him. At the end of the episode, he will make the player assemble the dinosaur in the saloon. Frankie Fusilli tells the player to arrange the dinosaur incorrectly, and the player will have the choice to assemble it correctly, which will make Honest Jackson happy, or do it incorrectly, which will make Frankie happy.

Honest Jackson is standing over Optimum Alfred's arm in "It All Comes to an End."

Randomly during episodes, Honest Jackson may call the player with any one of these three random messages:

  • "There was a bank error in your favor, you've been refunded §125."
    • This will give the player §125.
  • "Thank you for your donation of §200 to the Policeman's Pastry Fund"
    • The player will have §200 removed.
  • ""Congratulations [Player Name], you've won §240 in the Lottery!
    • The player will suddenly earn §240.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Strangely, after Ava Cadavra's arrival in Strangetown, he disappears from the game.[TS2DS]
    • Honest Jackson coincidentally disappeared around the time Frankie Fusilli asked the player to bury a mysteriously-wriggling box in the desert. Penelope Redd confiscates the box, but never says what's inside.
    • One of the possible reasons why he was missing for the last 2 thirds of the game is your Sim possibly ran him out of town, because after the credits you become Mayor.
    • After he disappears, if you ring him he always says that he is in a happy mood in the City Hall, even though he doesn't seem to be in the City Hall.
    • This is due to a scripting error; he was never supposed to leave the town. He can be brought back with the use of hacks.
