Houses are a key gameplay mechanic in The Sims Bustin' Out (handheld). They are the places that the player will live and refill their Home need, as well as other needs, provided they have the right furniture.

When first starting the game, the Barn is the house given to your Sim by Uncle Hayseed for free. At the beginning it is mostly unfurnished, however a mission requires you to retrieve the furniture from Uncle Hayseed's backyard and place it within the barn, with the exception of a shower. The player is required to buy a shower in a later mission.
