Jobs (The Sims Bustin' Out (handheld))

Jobs are a feature in The Sims Bustin' Out (handheld) that allow the player to earn Simoleons through the completion of minigames. Each job may only be performed once a day.

Mower Madness

This job takes an in-game hour to complete.

The Mower Madness minigame location

Time: 5:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Location: Hayseed Farm

Instructions (GBA): Mow the weeds! Press the A Button to accelerate the mower, and LEFT and RIGHT on the Control Pad to steer it. Avoid the rocks and your uncle's precious flowers!

Gameplay

The objective is to mow as many weeds as possible in the allotted time, avoiding obstacles such as rocks and flowers. Weeds are represented by clumps of grass which can appear anywhere on the yard. Rocks appear on the grassy parts of the lawn, and are smaller than weeds. Flowers are large, and only appear in flower beds (the areas of dirt in the yard).

Hitting a rock results in your lawn mower spinning out of control (wasting your time), whereas each time you mow down a flower 5 points will be subtracted from your score.

In level 5, three chickens will be running around the yard. Running them over does not subtract from your score, but does damage your relationship with Uncle Hayseed .

Gameplay

The objective is to score points by delivering the correct drinks to the bar patrons. The drinks are delivered through the use of a direction and power bar, which cycle until the player stops them. The obstacle present in this job is breaking the glasses; break too many, and you will be thrown out of the bar.

Glasses can be broken when the player slides the glass with too much force, or when they deliver an unacceptable drink to a patron.

The player earns more points by delivering the correct drink to the most distant patrons; the farther the throw, the higher the score. Bonus points can be earned for each time the glass banks off the side of the bar.

There are three types of drink, each represented by a different icon and coaster color. A patron ordering a certain drink will accept an alternative, however if the patron is given a drink that is neither what they ordered nor the acceptable alternative, they will smash the glass.
