The Ngata family is a pre-made family residing in Sulani, the world introduced in The Sims 4: Island Living. It consists of Oliana Ngata, her son Tane Ngata and her wife Leila Illes. Even though Oliana and Leila are married, they do not bear the same last name. They live on a lot called "Reef Finery" on Lani St. Taz and start off with 20,000 Simoleons.

Onomatology

Ngata: A surname that is most prevalent in Tanzania.
Oliana: A name derived from Olena, the Ukranian form of Helen.
Tane: A Maori name that means "man".
Illes: Possibly a variant of Illés, the Hungarian version of Elias and a common Hungarian surname.
Leila: Derived from the Arabic and Hebrew name Layla meaning "night".
