Rosalyn Rutherford is one of the pre-made deceased ancestral Sims who resided during her lifetime in Belladonna Cove, the neighborhood shipped with The Sims 2: Apartment Life. She was the wife of Barry Rutherford, the mother of Kenneth Rutherford, the grandmother of Marissa Cleveland (née Rutherford) and Geoff Rutherford, and the great-grandmother of Justin Cleveland. Rosalyn is completely resurrectable, even though she doesn't have a grave. She has the Family aspiration, and the Taurus zodiac sign. As far as personality, Rosalyn is very playful, and a little bit neat and outgoing. But she is quite lazy and somewhat grouchy.

According to Rosalyn's SimDNA in SimPE, her hair was red before it turned grey. According to her age data, she had 11 days left in the elder life stage when she died. Rosalyn's facial structure is almost, if not identical to the 13th Maxis face template in Create a Sim. Unlike several other married ancestors from Apartment Life who have memories of their spouses, she only has Mystery Sim memories. However Rosalyn still has memories of giving birth to Kenneth, as well as her granddaughter Marissa getting engaged and married.

Rosalyn is a variant of Rosaline, a variant of Rosalind, from hros, or horse, and linde, tender.
