The ZRX-9000 Science Research Station is a skill object introduced in The Sims 3: University Life. It can be found in the Hobbies & Skills section under Entertainment in buy mode.
Science research station can be used to increase a Sim's science skill. At first, Sims can only research science, but as the science skill level increases, more interactions become available. With the station, Sims can perform various experiments on collectibles, such as radiation experiment, gene splicing experiment, and so on. At higher levels of the science skill, Sims can clone objects using scientific samples, which is a very powerful tool that can be used to clone rare and expensive collectibles.
The object can be upgraded to become unbreakable with the handiness skill.
