Sylvester Baldwin is one of the pre-made deceased ancestral Sims who resided during his lifetime in Belladonna Cove, the neighborhood shipped with The Sims 2: Apartment Life. He was the son of Alastair and Kimberly Baldwin, the husband of Patience Baldwin (née Randrik), the father of Benjamin Baldwin, and the paternal grandfather of Sofia and Marcus Baldwin. Sylvester is completely resurrectable, even though he doesn't have a grave. He has the Knowledge aspiration, and the Virgo zodiac sign. As far as personality, Sylvester is very neat, somewhat active, and a little bit nice. But he is very shy, and quite serious.

According to Sylvester's SimDNA in SimPE, his hair was black before it turned grey. According to his age data, he had 14 days left in the elder life stage when he died. Sylvester uses the 3rd Maxis face template in Create a Sim, except for the ears and the nose. If he is resurrected and aged down to an adult, it becomes clear that his ears and nose use the 21st face template, which is one of the two broken face templates. The jaw is also shorter than on the default template. However the jaw is only shorter on teenage, adult, and elder males, which may mean that the jaw was genetically passed down, as this oddity generally only occurs on Sims whose facial features were genetically passed down.

Sylvester's SimDNA in SimPE shows that he carries the recessive allele for dark blue eyes. Also his dominant skin tone range is for medium skin, while his recessive skin tone range is for dark skin. However Sylvester's dominant and recessive alleles are for dark skin. Unlike several other married ancestors from Apartment Life who have memories of their spouses, he only has Mystery Sim memories. However Sylvester still has memories of Benjamin's birth, and him getting engaged and married. Strangely, he has the memory of meeting his granddaughter Sofia, but he doesn't have the memory of meeting his grandson Marcus. Deceased Sims who can be resurrected in-game will usually receive the memory of meeting their grandchildren, regardless if they have not actually met each other physically.

Broken face

This Sim uses one of the "broken" Maxis face templates. When he/she grows up to the next life stage, his/her facial structure will be different.

Resurrection tip
