Rename Article[edit source]

Is it okay if this article is named Afterschool activities? Because lots of people refered to that.

Thanks Nikel for adding a template for moving articles. :)

No big deal. :) After all, do you think this will work out? Isn't redirect enough? What term is used in the game, actually? Nikel Talk 13:36, January 24, 2012 (UTC)

It should be renamed to Afterschool activities because Afterschool class makes it seem necessary, and Afterschool class is never mentioned, whereas Afterschool activities is the real name. Bakerychaz (talk page · blog) 13:13, July 6, 2012 (UTC)

Renamed. You all say that the correct term is "activities" instead of "class". Note that the title is "activity" to keep it in singular form. Nikel Talk Vote! 13:50, July 8, 2012 (UTC)

After-school or afterschool?[edit source]

Well, the game uses the spelling "afterschool" instead of "after-school". Which one should we use? Writing "afterschool" gives me error with the spell check, though. Nikel Talk Vote! 04:32, July 24, 2013 (UTC)

No After school Activity rewards?[edit source]

I have had Sims 3 Generations for a while now and whenever a wish came about involving afterschool activities my sim would get some sort of item after (such as a trophy or an album if they are in music class) I later decieded to download sims 3 supernatural, then I decieded to undownload it, after I did this I could not complete Afterschool activity wishes or recieve their awards/objects, I redownloaded supernatural to see if this would fix it, but it did not, how could I fix this?  —Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.98.118.252 (talkcontribs) (UTC) - Please sign your comments with ~~~~

In my game, the afterschool activity recital is fine as it is, and I get the reward after attending it. Did you play in Moonlight Falls? The school in Moonlight Falls, as well as other combo school rabbit holes (like Appaloosa Plains) is a little glitched. You won't receive or be able to complete the opportunity to attend the recital. However, it's fine in other worlds. Nikel Talk Vote! 07:51, August 28, 2013 (UTC)

Class for Sculpting[edit source]

I have not a single idea how to look at this in the game files, because the way they coded it is very messy, so I couldn't read it. I'm wondering which class actually increases the Sculpting skill? There's no way to check it than actually playing the game, I suppose, which is time-consuming. Nikel Talk Vote! 13:08, October 30, 2013 (UTC)

I've double-checked by playing the game that art class only raises painting, whilst shop increases the three skills which currently listed. Even though I'm pretty sure about it, I need someone to try and confirm this. Also, logically sculpting would go to shop class because in real life, sculpting uses relatively different tools than painting while the tools used in handiness, sculpting and inventing are somewhat similar. --Frostwalker Talk to me! 13:28, October 30, 2013 (UTC)
I wasn't doubting you, Walker. I was just trying to double-check. Although, I couldn't help with it because I don't think I'll play the game for the next few days. I haven't even played it for the past few weeks.
Still, it's silly that they hard-coded it in the game scripts. Tuning mods cannot be made to include post-GEN skills! Talk about how EA develops their games... they are never able to think far in the future, like how to make it compatible with later EPs, for example. Nikel Talk Vote! 13:45, October 30, 2013 (UTC)
It's okay actually and you're right about that. Talking about how comfortable when using SimPE for TS2 and then all of a sudden you just have to face all the rough coding of TS3 when using S3PE without having any clue at all. --Frostwalker Talk to me! 13:51, October 30, 2013 (UTC)

I've finally found the code that stores the list of which activity increases what skill. I guess no one's following this discussion, but just in case anyone is, I've corrected the table. Nikel Talk Vote! 15:28, March 21, 2014 (UTC)
